How did this happen?

Following the brutal murder of Deborah Samuel in Sokoto State in May 2022 by Muslim terrorists.

A northern Christian woman named Rhoda Jatau, who lived in Bauchi, spoke up against the killing. She made and posted a video on WhatsApp, which many people agreed with and shared widely.

The video went viral, especially in the north.

Unfortunately, Muslim extremists who were her friends and colleagues reported her to the authorities for supporting what they called blasphemy.

Note that Bauchi is a Muslim-majority state and the same state where Muslim terrorists raped and killed NYSC corps members because a Muslim, Buhari, lost the election to a Christian, Goodluck Jonathan.

Back to the story.

Rhoda was a member of ECWA Church and a mother of five. After her friends and colleagues reported her to the authorities, 

what happened next was a shock to many Christians in Nigeria. 

Northern Muslim extremists began to threaten her for supporting the late Deborah, whom they claimed insulted their prophet.

Let me explain something before we continue.

From this event we can see that Muslim terrorists in the north will kill Christians like Deborah and then expect other Christians to keep quiet. If you speak up, they will use their connections in the government and security forces to oppress you.

They will then send more Muslim terrorists to your house to burn it down, so that next time when they kill another Deborah, no one will say anything.

It is important to note that anytime they tell you that Christians in the north are living in peace with them, I believe, what they mean is that Christians in the north are terrified of them. They will be fine as long as they stay terrified.

Until any day Muslims hear that someone drew a cartoon of Mohammed in Denmark, then Christians in the north will have to die.

It is my opinion that they like to kill Christians and then expect other Christians to be afraid, keep silent, and pretend as if nothing is happening, while they continue Killing.

Back to the story.

Security forces, on the orders of the Bauchi State government, traced her and arrested her, claiming it was for her own safety. 

However, they left her husband and five children behind. Her house and Christian community faced violence from Islamic extremists in Bauchi.

Terrorists destroyed properties belonging to Christians in the community and set her home and some buildings ablaze.

She was held in detention for over 18 months without bail. That is one and a half years of her life, gone.

She was accused of "inciting public disturbance" and "exciting contempt of religious creed," also known as blasphemy under Sharia law in some northern states.

She was a Christian not a Muslim. She lost her job. Her husband sold everything he had to pay for lawyers and take care of their five children. They had to go into hiding because Islamic terrorists were threatening to take their lives.

Many Nigerian Christians, human rights groups, and legal observers noted that while the terrorists directly involved in killing Deborah Samuel in Sokoto were acquitted or released despite video evidence, Rhoda Jatau was imprisoned simply for condemning the terrorist act.
