You chose #Jain_Jihad. Not Society Dispute. Not Common Area Concern. Jihad.

That word was not chosen accidentally. It was chosen to trigger. To provoke. To cast a peaceful community ; one whose entire religious identity is built on Ahimsa .. as an aggressor. As a threat.

Jains do not have armies. They do not have political militias. Their monks do not carry weapons — they do not even carry shoes. Using the word "Jihad" for white paint on a footpath is not criticism. It is targeted communal incitement. Now, the actual complaint — let's address it point by point.

1. "Permanent white oil paint"

This is either a factual error or a deliberate exaggeration — and given the hashtag you chose, it is worth asking which one.

The paint used on pathways is traditionally the same category of material used in whitewashing walls across India for centuries. It is water-permeable, non-toxic, and weathers off naturally within a few months without any manual removal. Look at your own photographs carefully. The existing tiles beneath the paint are completely intact. No surface has been damaged. No structure has been altered. What you are showing the world is a white strip on a footpath — not a construction, not a permanent installation, not a takeover.

2. "Religious practice forced on us by altering common space"

Let us look at what is actually in your photographs. There is a white painted strip on a walking pathway. That is all.

- No road has been blocked.
- No gate has been locked.
- No signage excludes any resident.
- No structure has been built.
- No community has been prevented from using the space.

The pathway remains fully accessible to every resident of every faith. The paint does not demand anything of you. It does not require you to follow any religious practice. It does not ask you to change your diet, your dress, your schedule, or your beliefs.

3. The practical benefits — which every resident shares

Setting aside the religious dimension entirely, this practice has real, demonstrable benefits that are available to all residents regardless of faith:

Cooler surface temperature: White surfaces reflect sunlight rather than absorbing it. In Maharashtra summers, where ground temperatures on dark surfaces can exceed 55–60°C, a white-painted walking path is measurably cooler underfoot. This benefits elderly residents, children, and anyone who walks barefoot — Jain or otherwise.

Inhibits algae and moss growth: Lime-based paint has natural antimicrobial properties. It prevents the growth of algae, moss, and slippery microorganisms on walking surfaces — making the path safer for everyone, particularly during monsoon season when wet surfaces become hazardous.

4. On being a "victim"

Victimhood is a serious claim. It deserves a serious standard. Victims of actual religious coercion face job loss, social exclusion, violence, displacement, destruction of property, and denial of basic rights. Communities across India — of many faiths — carry those wounds.

You are describing white paint on a footpath in a housing society. Calling yourself a victim of "Jain Jihad" for this does not just trivialize your own complaint — it trivializes the real suffering of genuine victims of communal violence and religious persecution. That is not a small thing.

A final word — on harmony,

Jains have lived in Maharashtra since centuries - They have funded hospitals, established educational institutions, contributed to trade, scholarship, and civic life. You responded with #Jain_Jihad and tagged a political party and a TV news channel. That tells us considerably more about the nature of this dispute than the photographs do.

Raising a legitimate housing society concern is your right. Weaponizing it with communal hashtags and media amplification is a choice..I hope you will choose differently next time.

28 मई 2025, हमारा हृदय वेदना से फटा जा रहा है। पाली, राजस्थान की धरती पर, जैन संत आचार्य पुंडरिक रत्न सुरीश्वर जी महाराज हमारे बीच नहीं रहे। उन्हें एक तथाकथित 'सड़क दुर्घटना' में हमसे छीन लिया गया।

पर क्या यह सच है?

जो तथ्य सामने आ रहे हैं, वे किसी दुर्घटना की ओर नहीं,
बल्कि एक क्रूर, सुनियोजित और प्रायोजित हत्या
(Targeted Sponsored Cool minded Killing)
की ओर इशारा कर रहे हैं!

प्रत्यक्षदर्शी गुरु भगवंतों का दिल दहला देने वाला खुलासा:

पूज्य संतश्री कच्चे रास्ते से विहार कर रहे थे। तभी एक भारी वाहन (ट्रक) पक्की सड़क से उतरकर, जानबूझकर कच्चे रास्ते पर आया, संतश्री को बेरहमी से टक्कर मारी और फिर वापस पक्की सड़क पर चढ़कर फरार हो गया! यह कोई आकस्मिक घटना नहीं हो सकती! यह एक Malafide motive के साथ 'कूल-माइंडेड मर्डर' है, जिसे अंजाम देने के लिए हत्यारे ने जानबूझकर अपना रास्ता बदला।

यह घटना उन शैतानी ताकतों की कायरता और क्रूरता को दर्शाती है जो हमारे संतों को निशाना बना रही हैं।

क्यों यह एक साधारण दुर्घटना नहीं, बल्कि एक गंभीर षड्यंत्र है?

वाहन का व्यवहार:
यदि यह गलती से हुआ सामान्य हादसा होता, तो इतनी भीषण टक्कर से वाहन (ट्रक) को भी भारी क्षति पहुँचती, वह पलट सकता था, चालक को गंभीर चोटें आ सकती थीं या वह नियंत्रण खो देता। किंतु यहाँ वाहन चालक ने न केवल अपना रास्ता बदलकर कच्चे रास्ते पर आकर संतश्री को टक्कर मारी, बल्कि उसके बाद भी बिना किसी बाधा या क्षति के, वाहन पर पूर्ण नियंत्रण बनाए रखते हुए वह सीधे फरार हो गया। यह स्थिति स्पष्ट रूप से चालक की आपराधिक मंशा और सुनियोजित कृत्य को उजागर करती है, न कि एक आकस्मिक दुर्घटना को।

प्रत्यक्षदर्शी बयान:
साथ में विहार कर रहे संत इस भयावह घटना के साक्षी हैं। उन्होंने उपरोक्त घटना बयां की है।

पिछली कई घटनाओं में समान दुर्घटनाएं, वही कार्यप्रणाली (Modus Operandi):
यह अत्यंत चिंताजनक है कि यह घटना कोई अकेली नहीं है। पिछले कुछ समय में देश के विभिन्न हिस्सों में, विशेषकर जैन संतों और अन्य साधुओं के साथ, संदिग्ध 'सड़क दुर्घटनाओं' की एक श्रृंखला देखी गई है जिनमें कार्यप्रणाली (modus operandi) आश्चर्यजनक रूप से समान रही है – तेज रफ्तार भारी वाहन द्वारा टक्कर मारना और फरार हो जाना। यह पैटर्न किसी गहरे षड्यंत्र या संगठित गिरोह की ओर इशारा करता है जो विशेष रूप से हमारे गुरु भगवंतों को निशाना बना रहा है।

लक्षित हत्या का उद्देश्य:
हमारी आशंका है कि इस जघन्य कृत्य का उद्देश्य सांप्रदायिक हिंसा भड़काना, समाज में विद्वेष फैलाना और भयभीत करना है।

घृणा फैलाने वाले संगठन:
जो वर्षों से जैन संतों और जैन धर्म के विरुद्ध आपत्तिजनक, भड़काऊ सामग्री फैला रहे हैं और हत्या तक के लिए उकसा रहे हैं, उनकी भूमिका की गहन जांच होनी चाहिए। इन संगठनों का दुर्भावनापूर्ण उद्देश्य (malafide motive) किसी से छिपा नहीं है।

हमारी न्याय की गुहार और स्पष्ट मांगें:

हम हाथ जोड़कर, किंतु दृढ़ता से, प्रशासन और सरकार से निम्नलिखित तत्काल कार्रवाई की मांग करते हैं:

FIR और कठोर धाराएं: इस मामले में तत्काल भारतीय न्याय संहिता (बी.एन.एस.) की धारा 101 (हत्या) के अंतर्गत प्राथमिकता से एफ.आई.आर. दर्ज की जाए। साथ ही, बी.एन.एस. की धारा 106(2) (उतावलेपन या उपेक्षापूर्ण वाहन चलाने से मृत्यु कारित करना और बिना सूचना दिए भाग जाना) एवं आपराधिक षड्यंत्र (बी.एन.एस. में समकक्ष धारा 61(2)) तथा अन्य सुसंगत धाराओं को भी शामिल किया जाए।

SIT जांच: हत्या की आशंका के सभी कारणों को ध्यान में रखते हुए, मामले की जांच किसी वरिष्ठ, निष्पक्ष एवं तकनीकी रूप से दक्ष पुलिस अधिकारी के नेतृत्व में एक विशेष जांच दल (SIT) गठित कर करवाई जाए। (यह जांच उपरोक्त वर्णित समान घटनाओं के पैटर्न को भी संज्ञान में ले)।

साक्ष्यों का संरक्षण: घटनास्थल के आसपास के सभी सी.सी.टी.वी. फुटेज, टोल नाकों के रिकॉर्ड्स, फास्टैग डेटा तत्काल जब्त कर उनकी फॉरेंसिक जांच हो।

प्रत्यक्षदर्शियों की सुरक्षा: संत श्री के साथ विहार कर रहे अन्य संतों के विस्तृत बयान दर्ज कर उन्हें पूर्ण सुरक्षा प्रदान की जाए। व्हीलचेयर संबंधित तथ्य की पुष्टि की जाए।

धृणा फेलाने वाले राष्ट्र और समाज विरोधी संगठन, उनके पदाधिकारियों, सक्रिय सदस्यों, उनकी फंडिंग, उनके द्वारा फैलाए जा रहे घृणास्पद भाषणों, लेखों, वीडियो और अन्य प्रचार सामग्री की गहन जांच हो और प्रतिबंधित किया जाए।

इस पूरे षड्यंत्र में शामिल सभी व्यक्तियों की शीघ्र पहचान कर उन्हें गिरफ्तार किया जाए।

यह केवल एक संत की हत्या नहीं है, यह हमारी आस्था पर, हमारी शांतिप्रिय संस्कृति पर और हमारी मानवता पर हमला है।

हम न्याय के लिए, अपने संतों की सुरक्षा के लिए और इस देश की आत्मा की रक्षा के लिए हम प्रशासन से अपील करते हैं कि वे इस मामले की गंभीरता को समझें और अपराधियों को और षड्यंत्रकर्ताओं को कठोरतम दंड दिलाकर समाज में शांति, सुरक्षा और न्याय का विश्वास पुनः स्थापित करें।

It is with profound sorrow and distress that we bring to your attention a grave and deeply unsettling incident that has occurred at #Pavagadh hill. The sacred #Jain idols of our faith, particularly the idols of the Vandaniya Tirthankar, a revered centerpiece of our religious heritage, have been suddenly removed from their rightful place near the steps of the temple.
To our utter dismay and anguish, these venerable images of Tirthankar Gods have been discarded and placed amidst a heap of garbage which are consecrated centuries ago. This act not only disrespects our faith but also violates several constitutional and legal provisions designed to protect religious practices and sites of worship.
In light of these events, we humbly and earnestly request the immediate intervention of the administration to:

•Enshrine the Idols: Restore the idols of the Most Reverend Vandaniya Tirthankar to their rightful and revered place with immediate effect.

•Initiate Legal Action: Take prompt legal action against those responsible persons namely Shri Surendra Patel, Shri Ashok Pandya and manager Shri Vikrambhai for this sacrilegious act under the relevant sections of the law.
Legal Provisions Violated:

1.Violation of Constitutional Rights (Articles 25 to 28):
The right to freely profess, practice, and propagate religion, as guaranteed under Articles 25 to 28 of the Constitution of India, has been egregiously violated. These articles ensure that all citizens have the right to worship and maintain religious practices without fear or hindrance.

2.The Places of Worship (Special Provisions) Act, 1991:
This Act prohibits the conversion of any place of worship and mandates the preservation of its religious character as it existed on the 15th day of August, 1947. The unauthorized removal and desecration of the idols violate this Act, which prescribes a punishment of up to three years imprisonment for such offenses.

3.Section 153A of the Indian Penal Code (IPC):
This section addresses the offense of promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion, race, place of birth, residence, language, etc., and acts prejudicial to the maintenance of harmony.

4.Section 295 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC): This section pertains to injuring or defiling a place of worship with intent to insult the religion of any class. It states that whoever destroys, damages, or defiles any place of worship or any object held sacred by any class of persons with the intention of insulting their religion, or with the knowledge that such act is likely to insult their religion, shall be punishable with imprisonment for a term which may extend up to two years, or with fine, or with both.

In conclusion, we seek your esteemed office's urgent and empathetic action to rectify this grievous wrong and to uphold the sanctity and respect of our religious heritage. We trust in your commitment to justice and the preservation of our constitutional rights.

It has been reported that all ancient Jain idols of Tirthankars on the stairs of #Pavagadh hill, #Gujarat (which were crucial evidences of its #Jain past), have been broken and thrown away. Jain monk Muni Shri Jinpremvijayji and shravaks have reached the Collector's office in Surat demanding immediate action. Further details are awaited.

All shravaks from Surat are requested to reach Diwalibag Upashray for an emergency meeting which started today at 9:30 PM. #jainism

માનનીય પ્રધાનમંત્રી શ્રી નરેન્દ્રભાઈ મોદીએ દેશવાસીઓને તીર્થસ્થાનોની સ્વચ્છતા માટે યોગદાન આપવા આહવાન કર્યું છે, તેને ઝીલી લઈને 500 જેટલા યુવાનોએ ભેગા મળીને સ્વચ્છતાનું એક ખૂબ પ્રેરણાદાયી કાર્ય કર્યું છે.

જૈન સમાજનું અત્યંત પવિત્ર તીર્થક્ષેત્ર એટલે પાલિતાણા – શેત્રુંજય પર્વત, જેના દર્શને દર વર્ષે લાખો શ્રદ્ધાળુઓ આવતા હોય છે. પર્વત પર ફેંકવામાં આવતા પ્લાસ્ટિકની બોટલ્સ, કોથળીઓ, કાગળ જેવા કચરાને દૂર કરવા શ્રી સમકિત યુવક મંડળના યુવાનોએ 25 થી 28 જાન્યુઆરી, એમ ચાર દિવસ સુધી સતત સ્વચ્છતાનું મહાઅભિયાન હાથ ધર્યું અને અંદાજે ચાર ટનથી વધારે કચરાનો નિકાલ કર્યો.

સ્વચ્છતાના આ કાર્યમાં સ્થાનિક યુવાનોની સાથે મુંબઈથી આવેલા યુવાનો જોડાયા. 500 જેટલા યુવાનોએ સાથે મળીને 1283 બોરી જેટલો કચરો દૂર કર્યો. આ અભિયાન દરમિયાન 7500 જેટલા લોકોએ પર્વત પર કચરો ન નાંખવાના સંકલ્પપત્ર ભર્યા. ગિરિરાજ શેત્રુંજયની પવિત્રતા આ યુવાનોની નિ:સ્વાર્થ મહેનતથી મહેંકી ઉઠી.

વિકસિત ભારતના એમ્બેસેડર સમા આ સૌ યુવાનોને ખૂબ-ખૂબ અભિનંદન પાઠવું છું. જૈનાચાર્ય પૂજ્ય આચાર્ય શ્રી મુક્તિવલ્લભસૂરીશ્વરજી મહારાજ સાહેબ અને પૂજ્ય આચાર્ય શ્રી ઉદયવલ્લભસૂરિશ્વરજી મહારાજ સાહેબે પણ આ કાર્યમાં યુવાનોને સતત પ્રેરણા આપી. તેઓશ્રીની ભાવનાને પણ હું હૃદયપૂર્વક અનુમોદન આપું છું.

રાજશક્તિનો સંકલ્પ, સંતશક્તિનું માર્ગદર્શન અને યુવાશક્તિનો ઉદ્યમ – આ ત્રણનો સંગમ થાય તો રાષ્ટ્રહિતનું કેટલું સુંદર કામ થઈ શકે તેનું ઉદાહરણ આ સ્વચ્છતા અભિયાન છે.

ગુજરાતને સ્વચ્છ, સુંદર અને વિકસિત બનાવવામાં યુવાશક્તિનો આવો જ સહયોગ અવિરત મળતો રહે તેવી અભ્યર્થના વ્યક્ત કરું છું.
