Well that escalated quickly! (😮💨11 mos)
Really proud to announce that @newthing_co has been acquired by @joinbenjamin. @TheCodeBender and I will join the team in product and engineering leadership roles to bring AR rewards to as many people as possible!

@karrisaarinen Where’s the lohikeitto, leipäjuusto and kuivaliha photos? (Actually I didn’t super love squeaky cheese 😂 but felt very on brand for lakeside Möllky and sauna hangs in the summer when I’d go to oulu)
For me, what’s worked is data.
1v1 is insanely hard (probably futile)
1v1v1000+ data points from users - way easier.
I learned that acquiring your data aggregation / feedback fast and sequencing that correctly (tactically) into conversations earns enormous amounts of trust and agency.
Learned the opposite many times. (Respectfully 🫶).
Being able to convert founders is a super valuable skill and it’s very doable, but not easy (regardless of how “off board” they are). Agree with @vanschneider that taking something rough and unpolished to a better place is insanely rewarding.
1st, congrats! Goals are so personal but so varied which is what’s great about it IMO.
- Body fat % if you are looking for a “look”
- Other physical fitness milestone moves (like the one you just did!🙌) ie: pull-ups, weighted pull-ups, bench (bw), deadlift (2x bw), overhead press (.75x bw), thrust (2x bw)
- Endurance goals - 5k, half/full marathon, ultra, big hike in a cool place, etc
- Other people goals - “help my [person] do a goal”
Considered GLP route myself. Was 38.5% body fat last December. 😔 sad.
Built an ai tool. Locked in with it. Drastically improved every single measurable metric of my health by losing weight, sleeping and lifting weights. Thats it. Didn’t even think really (similar to glp), ai did the planning and recalibrations as needed. I just did the instructions.
- Body fat is now 21% still too high, but only 5 months in. Goal is 14%. On track to hit in August.
- Lost over 30lbs of fat
- Added over 15lbs of lean muscle
- Triglycerides 315 -> 96
- ApoB 118 -> 83
- hs-CRP: 5.1 → 1.7 mg/L
Etc etc all either optimal or trending to it.
Lifting the heaviest consistent numbers ever with no injuries.
No glp, no peptides. It’s doable, just takes commitment. Biggest win - my wife is vibing it.
$2000 for a font for a commercial project where the upside is usually way over $2k is a no brainer. Stealing from an artist to enrich a (usually big) company is crazy.
I actually think font licensing *has solved* many of its major issues. Allowing designers to “sell” a font before a client / company buys with a trial was a huge move most foundries have already made.
When the licensing is based on arbitrary things (ex: employee count) it gets a little weird still but overall this guy is wrong.
@lil_dill@kevinyien +1. I've been building ai-based tools for my process to make a bunch of small changes in the UI "by hand"/fast and that is captured into a specific prompt sent to Claude Code + refreshthe view + go again (doing this for animations too - riffed via DialKit from @joshpuckett)
@anothercohen Ultra 3 is wildly better battery life. I want to try the Oura 5 and an analog watch for my daily and then keep my Apple Watch for workouts specifically. I had the Oura 4 and it was too bulky for me
Kirkland & Ellis, the world's highest-grossing law firm, is setting aside $500M to build its own AI platform rather than rely on tools available to its rivals (Financial Times)

@CoachDanGo When you post the results please post what workout routines you did (and your goal or phase - bulk cut maintenance etc) and what your rpe was. I’d love to see if anyone is an outlier in routine measurement.
@RThermo56@emilkowalski I use it (quiet a bit). It's very good and levels up most animations effortlessly on normally static claude outputs. I paid the $99
