Susan Collins's latest financial report just came out.
A staggering one-third of her money raised this quarter came directly from AIPAC.
Senator Collins is bought and paid for by Benjamin Netanyahu, and she votes accordingly.
Thomas Massie says he will publicly read the names of the Epstein clients before his time in Congress comes to an end.
Massie says there will be no high-level arrests as long as Todd Blanche and Kash Patel work for the United States government.
Massie says Melania Trump knows the truth about Epstein not acting alone.
"Todd Blanche is violating the law."
Rubio's Munich speech took a big leap AWAY from Restraint, imo. Restraint requires the US to adopt a narrower definition of national interest to better prioritize what actually matters and avoid expansive definitions that pull the US into unnecessary wars. To go from defending "our allies" or the "free world" to "Western civilization" is the opposite of narrowing the definition of US interest...
Sweden is committing more than €100 million to a sweeping classroom overhaul: replacing tablets and screens with traditional printed textbooks to help reverse falling student performance and sharpen focus.
After more than a decade of embracing digital-first education, Swedish authorities are now pivoting back to paper-based learning. Official data and recent studies cited by the Ministry of Education show that prolonged screen use in class has been linked to shorter attention spans, weaker reading comprehension, and reduced critical-thinking abilities.
Research consistently finds that reading on illuminated screens requires greater mental effort and invites more distractions compared to the calm, linear experience of physical books—factors believed to have contributed to declining academic outcomes in recent years.
Under the new plan, every student will receive printed textbooks for all core subjects, restoring books as the central learning tool. Digital devices and online resources will remain available as supportive tools, but they will no longer dominate daily instruction.
This bold €100+ million investment signals Sweden’s leadership in rethinking the role of technology in education. It underscores a broader, growing recognition worldwide: while screens provide speed and access, the hands-on, distraction-free engagement of physical books supports deeper concentration, stronger memory retention, and more effective long-term learning.
By choosing paper over pixels, Sweden is charting a path toward a more balanced, evidence-informed classroom future—one that puts proven pedagogical principles ahead of unchecked digital trends.
To be clear about what this depicts: An immigration officer threw a woman onto the ground. Alex Pretti, a registered nurse on scene as a legal observer, is filming and goes to help the woman up. He is then pepper sprayed and thrown to the ground for no discernible reason. Many officer surround and assault him; one removes his firearm, which police say appears to have been legally registered. They then execute him with a hail of bullets.
They are, objectively speaking, both cowards and criminals, while Pretti is what we teach people an American ought to be.
To all the congressional Democrats who say they’re in the minority so you can’t do anything here’s an idea- start whipping together the votes to replace Hakeem Jeffries who let this happen. Maybe for once think about what the country needs not just what preserves your own power.
As tens of thousands across America protest the violence that ICE sows with impunity, federal agents shot and killed another person in Minneapolis today. ICE terrorizes our cities. ICE puts us all in danger. Abolish ICE.
Are we really living in a democracy when the richest man on earth can spend as much as he wants to elect his candidates?
The most important thing our nation can do is end Citizens United and move to public funding of elections.
Billionaires can’t be allowed to buy elections.
“If our economic system is to survive, there has to be a better distribution of wealth ... we can't have a system where some people live in superfluous, inordinate wealth, while others live in abject deadening poverty.” — Martin Luther King Jr.
It's that magical time of year when private jets descend on a Swiss mountain village to discuss climate change and poverty! Anyway, here's my annual reminder. I'll stop posting this when they stop avoiding the real issue: their own massive tax avoidance 💰
If Trump seizes Greenland from Denmark, does that mean that all Americans will be entitled to:
Free healthcare with no deductibles?
A free college education?
52 weeks of paid parental leave?
5 weeks of paid vacation?
Because that’s what everyone in Denmark and Greenland has.
The United States needs to stay out of Venezuela. Let the Venezuelan people determine their future. We don't want other countries to choose our leaders--so we have to stop trying to choose theirs.
Ms. Rachel is a preschool teacher who speaks up for starving children in Gaza. That is not antisemitism.
I hope thousands will join me in standing up for her.
Senator Schumer is no longer effective and should be replaced. If you can’t lead the fight to stop healthcare premiums from skyrocketing for Americans, what will you fight for?
“How did the freak from ‘Home Alone 2’ get this special pass from the entire American public?”
@mehdirhasan joins Jennifer Welch and Angie “Pumps” Sullivan on the @ivehaditpodcast to discuss Trump’s mental state—and why the media refuses to cover it.
Trump gave Amazon a $16 billion tax break to accelerate its investments this year.
Now, Amazon will replace 600,000 workers with robots as Jeff Bezos accelerates his plan to automate warehouses.
No. Corporate tax breaks do not trickle down to workers. Never have. Never will.
🚨 UAW ENDORSES GRAHAM PLATNER FOR U.S. SENATE IN MAINE 🚨
The United Auto Workers have endorsed Graham Platner for the United States Senate in Maine.
As a U.S. military veteran, oyster farmer, and proud lifelong Mainer, Graham Platner is a true fighter for the working class. His campaign is grounded in rebuilding the American dream for working people who can no longer afford a good life. His service and his background give him the leadership needed to fight for policies that put the needs of workers first and demand bold solutions to our economic and political crises.
The UAW represents nearly 2,000 workers in Maine, including marine draftsmen at Bath Iron Works, nonprofit employees, workers at the Portland Museum of Art, and graduate employees across the University of Maine System. Together, these members are part of a growing movement of working-class people demanding an economy that works for everyone — not just the wealthy few — and standing behind candidates who fight for dignity, fairness, and justice for all workers.
“Inequality is out of control in our country. Today, the top 1% have more wealth than the bottom 95% of humanity combined. @grahamformaine understands this, and at a time when too many politicians take their cues from billionaires and corporate lobbyists, he has chosen to stand with the working class,” said UAW President Shawn Fain. “He’s focused on the real problems facing workers across this country — not the distractions the billionaire class uses to divide us. His campaign is rooted in the same core issues our union fights for every day: a living wage, affordable health care, retirement security, and time outside of work to actually live our lives. The UAW is proud to endorse candidates like Platner taking on the broken status quo.”
@UAWRegion9A Director Brandon Mancilla added, “Graham Platner has emerged as a voice for the people of Maine fed up with the corrupting influence of the oligarchy and money in our politics. More importantly, he is building a mass movement that will not only power his campaign but will be ready to take on the challenges facing working families in Maine and across the country once in office. Our members are ready to hit the ground running with Graham’s campaign and take back the power for Maine’s working class.”
“I think he's the real deal,” said Trent Vellela, president of the UAW’s Maine CAP Council from Bath Marine Draftsmen’s Association (BMDA-UAW Local 3999 ). “Graham directly addresses the hard issues in a straightforward and relatable way. He is clear about his principles and his plan to achieve positive outcomes for the working people of Maine. We're excited to endorse Graham Platner for Senate and look forward to seeing him in DC.”
