In a first for a Combined Annual Training Camp in West Bengal & Sikkim Directorate, 2 Bengal Battalion NCC conducted a comprehensive Live Demonstration and Tactical Lecture (LDM) at Kanchrapara Air Force Station on Patrolling, Ambush, Counter-Ambush, Sniper Drill, and Ghillie Suit Camouflage in Counter-Insurgency Operations.

The demonstration recreated realistic tactical scenarios based on operational experiences from actual operations providing cadets with valuable exposure to battlefield tactics, discipline, teamwork, and decision-making under challenging conditions.

The event offered cadets an enriching learning experience, reinforcing the values of leadership, resilience, professionalism, patriotism, and selfless service.

⚔️ From Training Ground to Battlefield Readiness ⚔️

Kanchrapara Air Force Station | 09 July 2026 | CATC KB-6

Under the aegis of West Bengal & Sikkim Directorate, 2 Bengal Battalion NCC created history by conducting, for the first time during a Combined Annual Training Camp in West Bengal, a live Tactical Lecture-cum-Demonstration on Patrolling, Ambush, Counter-Ambush, Sniper Drill and Ghillie Suit Camouflage during Counter-Insurgency Operations at Kanchrapara Air Force Station.

Conducted by the PI Staff of 2 Bengal Battalion NCC, the demonstration recreated realistic battlefield scenarios, providing cadets with invaluable exposure to combat tactics, leadership, discipline, courage and teamwork. Group Commander Group HQ NCC Kolkata ‘B’, attended the demonstration and commended the outstanding efforts of 2 Bengal Battalion NCC in delivering a realistic and inspiring training experience.

@SuvenduWB @paulagnimitra1 @DilipGhoshOff with a clear definition of EWS eligibility. Imo, any family earning more than Rs. 24 k p.m. cannot be part of EWS benefits. Thus all DBT payments under various Cent Govt/State Govt schemes have to be tabulated per family.

Part III :3) Aadhar card data should be used to listen out all bank accounts being used by a woman & her husband to trace her household monthly income for determining whether she belongs to EWS (economically weak section) category or not

1) Annapurna Bhandar of Rs.3,000 p.m. should be restricted to women from EWS category.
2) Free bus ride on state buses should be restricted to within district travel and to non AC buses only.
