@akuma_river@Dennis_Porter_ Yeap, well aware of what this all is and what the limitations of it are... I was being sarcastic ๐ The bogus numbers are the election data guy model which fox actually broadcast.
@AndrewBond72907@TylerOnTheHill At a high level, it could be the same organizers as the fake Trans flyers sent out by MAGA supporting Three Z Printing. https://t.co/jGGDeMhzCN
@ledpoppins@WeaslWords@jakefromgeorgia Yeap. In 2020, while there was discontent with pandemic handling, there was still a lot of "Trump didn't get a chance!" mentality. Now the R's have had the chance, we've seen how it plays out, so people are more disillusioned now. Also, $7 diesel.
@ledpoppins@WeaslWords@jakefromgeorgia The "generic" only is part of the picture. Race to race, Abbott was R+13.3 in 2018, but only R+10.9 in 2022. Also, in 2016, generic was R+14.9 before moving to R+7.4 in 2018. Things change quickly! And I would argue fundamentals are at their worst for R's now compared to priors
@_fat_ugly_rat_ It was a very interesting election. A combination of playing off the economic fallout from 2022, a massive effort to label dems bad through algorithmic content pushes, and the Biden/Kamala changeout along with a (questionable) assassination attempt.
@ledpoppins@WeaslWords@jakefromgeorgia What data did I cherry pick? Also, I'm always open to enlightenment. Share what "data dumps" I'm ignoring so I can review.
@NormalFreak2024@Doggocrat *LOUD BUZZER* FAKE NEWS! Texas doesn't have party registration. The only method of separating current voters into categories is a primary voter method, which is here: https://t.co/m4T4V9WBbU
@umichvoter Is anyone tracking this compared to 2022? While the fundamentals are even further apart 4 years ago compared to 2, it would be interesting to see how this tracks against the last NV midterm.
@ledpoppins@WeaslWords@jakefromgeorgia "We" will see. Let's not pretend we both are doing anything more than making assertations with the limited data we have.
@ledpoppins@WeaslWords@jakefromgeorgia You are discounting the fundamental differences favoring Rs in 2024, 2022, 2020. Dems also had weak candidates in Texas since Beto. Now in 2026 fundamentals are against Rs and they have one of the weakest candidates ever (Paxton) compared to a strong D candidate (Talarico).
@ledpoppins@WeaslWords@jakefromgeorgia Explain? While we know the overall results of generals, we cannot see individual voters choices compared to current turnout.
