@Remnicore_ That distinction is irrelevant. Qui-Gon and the council identified Maul on much more shaky evidence. It doesn't matter what Qmir thinks of himself, the Jedi would've regarded him as a Sith. Sol not telling the council multiple times in the transmission makes zero sense.
@AnarresCalling@naboonat Unfortunately you have to blame George Lucas for that. The only reason it didn't turn into a disaster during the OT was because he had other people (who understood Daoism and eastern philosophy) to reign him in.
Then we got "will of the Force" and the "chosen one" crap in the PT.
@kilerrobot@SheevTalks And then they grab a handful of British TV actors for Andor and create peak. The actors for Wilmon and Kleya had never even worked on set before.
@xaviersonline_ Because the person writing the tweet is 14 and doesn't know what 'inherent' means. They think it's just 'very', same as using 'literally' for everything.
@emerylonaphra Most Star Wars fans don't care about the quality of what they're watching. They want key-jangling and a bunch of hype-moments on the screen, while staring at their phones for 75% of the runtime.
@Uber_Kryptonian Because Filoni wants Star Wars to be a whacky cartoon aimed at young teens, with the occasional action-scene and hype-moment thrown in for the trailers.
Character writing and themes just get in the way.
@BigSisMeryl It's either a campaign by chuds who want to see the game fail or it's terminally "zombie-survival-crafter"-brained gamers who throw a fit every time they can't brute-force an obstacle.
@pogorex@AnthomniaGAME I think it's just bugged. There were several times I hit a small Marrowbreach with the multitool and it visibly recoiled and made a noise. It just seems like the animation doesn't register or play every time.
@LuunieTuunie The show was so good at telling so much with so little. The entire exchange between Partagaz and Krennic was only 50 seconds, but it spoke volumes about their history and how they viewed each other.
Not to mention the spectre of Palpatine being omnipresent.
@m0pan_40k I like the idea of a setting where humanity is actually a minority, instead of just being the default guys in charge. It's a woefully underused idea.
@SheevTalks Before watching I looked up the Maul vs. Vader clip, expecting there to be some kind of dialogue or confrontation. The dull disappointment, as absolutely nothing happened, properly primed me for the video.
The art-style hides how childish and shallow the show is.
@bladewngs I'm really glad they're not stuffing everything into caves this time around. Seeing that massive structure slowly emerging out of the open water was so much more effective.
@mightydudbolt I am, once again, shamelessly shilling for this book. It explains sooo much about why people stopped caring about the Jedi so quickly (or never really cared/knew in the first place).
tl;dr The Clone Wars were so devastating that people were eager to forget and move on.
@shas_kais@superfeyn It's not that simple. Deception, half-truths and "from a certain point of view" are generally allowed as long as it serves the Greater Good.
'Elemental Council' describes this really well and the Water-Caste member is a jaded and basically a CIA spook with a lifetime of regret.
@CISENJOYER Not as much as one might think. He's got a ton to do before he fully has the Empire under his control.
The book canon actually acknowledges that there are hundreds of different factions and power-blocs that need to be wrangled for him to consolidate his authority.
