Human rights should never depend on geography or politics. Every community deserves to have its voice heard. If there are credible allegations of abuses in Pakistan-Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (POJK), they deserve fair, independent, and impartial international attention. Silence should never replace scrutiny.#POJK #PakistanOccupiedKashmir #HumanRights #PressFreedom #Journalism #FreedomOfExpression #Accountability #StandForTruth #GlobalMedia #Justice
PAKISTAN: Reacting to reports that security forces used lethal force against protesters in Rawalakot, Pakistan-administered Jammu and Kashmir, on the first day of the regional election, Isabelle Lassee, Amnesty International’s Acting Regional Director for South Asia, said:
“The disturbing reports emerging from Rawalakot are consistent with the Pakistani authorities’ long history of unlawful violence against protesters in Jammu and Kashmir. A prompt, independent, and transparent investigation must be ordered into the security forces’ use of force against protesters. So long as an internet and mobile services blackout remains in place, it will severely impede the independent verification of the full extent of the situation on the ground. We urge the Pakistani authorities to restore all communications access and allow media and independent observers into the area.”

To the global media community.....Why are the voices of the people of POJK receiving so little sustained international attention?????
Do the people of Pakistan Occupied Kashmir deserve any less attention than those living elsewhere?
Should their suffering, if substantiated, receive less visibility simply because it is politically inconvenient or does not align with dominant international narratives?
Well the credibility of international media depends not only on what it reports but also on what it chooses to overlook.
If journalism is to remain a defender of human rights and democratic values, it must report uncomfortable realities wherever they exist, without fear or favour.
The brutality faced by people of POJK should not be overshadowed by selective narratives or editorial priorities that leave certain voices unheard.

Thank you, Hon'ble LG Shri Manoj Sinha Ji, for believing in our youth and encouraging the Save Youth Save Future Foundation. Together, we will build a stronger, united, and Drug-Free Jammu & Kashmir. 🇮🇳
Today, addressed Interfaith Dialogue for Harmony in Baramulla, organised by the Save Youth Save Future Foundation. I commended the Save Youth Save Future Foundation for their contribution to the drug-free Jammu Kashmir campaign. The young volunteers worked selflessly and took on a great responsibility for a better future for UT. Through this campaign, we have strengthened trust within our families and institutions, reinforced youth's confidence in their future, and sent a message across the country that when a society rises up on its own, it can overcome biggest challenges.
I also highlighted that this land embodies harmony and brotherhood. For generations, people of different faiths received respect and experienced spiritual peace. It is the lasting legacy of the saints, Sufis, and Rishis who spent centuries teaching our people the power of love, compassion, and unity.
@manojsinha_ Thank you, Hon'ble LG Shri Manoj Sinha Ji, for your kind words and encouragement. Your support inspires every volunteer of the Save Youth Save Future Foundation to work harder for a Drug-Free, Peaceful, and United Jammu & Kashmir. We are truly grateful, Sir. 🙏🇮🇳
