The power of reviews is wild.

• Lowest rating customers consider is 3.3/5
This is a major priority in all my businesses.. Here are 14 tactics to get more reviews:
'Self discipline' is a patch for being conflicted about what you want to do.
Often, productive people are interpreted as 'having discipline': able to force themselves to do the work even when it's unpleasant.
But creative productivity only ever works in *spite* of that.
Remembering Cleveland Chenier, born on this day in 1920 in Opelousas, Louisiana. Here he is playing a party with his musical partner Lightnin' Hopkins in 1968. Filmed by Les Blank and Skip Gerson in Houston, Texas.
If you are looking for a chat LLM without any forced 'alignment' or 'moralizing' censorship, I recommend `WizardLM-13B-Uncensored` which was literally just released today.
Been playing with it all morning. It is my favorite open-source chat model so far.

1) retire for a year

not a bad strategy at all, to be honest. and he wouldnt end his career getting swept. LeBron is not going to end his career getting swept, right? right?
The recruiting company has been a different startup experience for me.
Every other biz - cost seg, insurance, shepherd - had had an overflow of customers and a stressful time keeping up with the operations and employees.
RecruitJet needs 3 things:
-Companies looking for placements
-A recruiter who is a killer
-Candidates - which you go chase depending on the placement
I've been talking about @recruit_jet a little bit on twitter, some podcasts, my email newsletter.
I've been able to attract a 10x recruiter. 15+ years in the biz and an absolute sniper. But he has a job making a lot of money...
I've also had 100+ DMs from people who want jobs (which I can't help at all right now).
And we've taken 12 meetings with companies trying to land that first placement. The fee we charge is high (30% of year 1 salary) but the work we do to chase candidates is very intense.
A full on sales blitz to basically steal somebody who has a great job and convince them to take a better one.
None of the clients have put down a deposit yet to get started. We're also in the middle of a layoff period and economic recession so only so many companies are still hiring.
So we can't bring on the recruiter full-time yet.
Every other business I've ever started has been easy to ramp up from a demand perspective. I think this one will be more work but doing 2-3 placements a month will mean $1-2 million in revenue and a great business.
I can feel it coming together - but we're really going to have to flex our marketing / sales muscles for this.
@bentossell detect a growing number of context-based interpersonal scenarios in text messages (bullying, kindness, leadership, abuse, school safety) and tell how relevant they are (1st person/3rd person)
Listen to why Ray Bradbury, author of 27 novels, didn't believe in college and thought it was "dangerous." Stay for the dazzling monologue on love, hate, creativity, and the irresistible power of feeling over the intellect.
@Codie_Sanchez 100%.
Plugging my friends over at @oceans_xyz.
Hiring an "EA+" from them was my best business decision of 2022.
Their talent is so good that I invested in the business.
Highly recommend.
