2/2 We're proud to have intersex representation on the PAI Board and ILGA World Intersex Committee. Challenges remain, but with continuous efforts and strategic partnerships, we're committed to advocating for intersex rights and inclusion.

Day two of the AIM 2024 strategic meeting was a success! We discussed coordinator duties, addressed past challenges, and set protocols for the year. Engaged with the steering committee on membership plans, eligibility, and AIM's constitution. Excited about our progress!"

1/2 Today I had an opportunity to share the strides we've made with AIM since 2023! From holding a successful regional meeting in Nairobi to our participation at key global forums like the 6th PAI Conference and the 77th African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights.

Allow me to re-introduce myself.

My name is Vivian Justin Joseph, a young girl from the United Republic of Tanzania 🇹🇿 (with the HIGHEST MOUNTAIN IN AFRICA)

I am a clinician ( I diagnose and prescribe hence a doctor but I do not practice surgical procedures)

I lead the Health Cluster of the Southern Africa Youth Forum @SAYoF_SADC which is a regional youth organization which comprises of 16 countries of the SADC region and currently working on the Tobacco control in partnership with @yact_africa @amrefhealthafrica , the Neglected Tropical Diseases, Nutrition and the Southern Africa Rare Disease Coalition.

I am also a founder of a non-profit organization @watotoafrika that bridges mental health gap for children that have undergone violence, extreme poverty, trauma, children with special needs and disabilities and coordinate for projects that empower them, provide access to mental healthcare services, access to quality education, good health and wellbeing

I am a 2024 TANZANIAN UN Youth Fellow through @AUNYD_2023 and this has enabled me to learn more of the UN operations and how as a young person, I and my fellow youth can use opportunities such as @UNECOSOC to amplify our voices

I have also founded a youth platform known as @youthpowertz “the youth powerhouse” so young people can connect together and draw inspiration from one another, learn from different perspectives on health, mental health, sexual reproductive health, climate space and entrepreneurship. They have an amazing leadership team spearheaded by Herry Elias doing amazing sessions for young people.

And oh! Did you know that this year I celebrated my 25th birthday with the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, H.E @SuluhuSamia ? (The most incredible moment I ever had 🤍 )

I am a believer of Jesus Christ, and all that I Am and do is to give Him glory
