137 years ago, these 12 clubs founded The Football League, led by Scotsman William McGregor.

Only Accrington FC are no longer with us. The rest of the clubs are some of England’s most historic football institutions.

@RealCounties The city’s expansion seems to have spread it beyond Northamptonshire into both Cambridgeshire and Huntingdonshire. Posh fans are probably most bothered about where their London Road ground is situated - which is on the Huntingdonshire side
