According to ground reports, agitators within the banned JAAC are equipped with modern weapons and opened fire from the mountains as crowds converged on Rawalakot. This armed assault tragically resulted in the martyrdom of a brave Rangers personnel and injuries to security personnel. Furthermore, the core demand driving the JAAC's weeks of agitation is the abolition of 12 legislative assembly seats reserved for Kashmiri refugees, an effort to disenfranchise displaced communities, not a genuine human rights campaign. Fabricated videos and distorted narratives circulating online cannot mask the ground truth that forces have exercised extreme restraint and only acted in self-defense against armed provocation.
