Naeem Rehmat, a student enrolled in the BS Education program at the University of Turbat, was in his second semester when he was forcibly disappeared on 17th March, 2022. It has been over two years, and his whereabouts remain unknown, disrupting his education and causing deep distress to his family.

Since his enforced disappearance, Naeem's family has been conducting demonstrations, yet he has not been safely released. On 10th April 2024, the Day of Eid, his family staged a sit-in (Dharna) at the main route of CPEC in Shapuk, Kech.

Naeem's disappearance is not the only case; hundreds of Baloch students are facing similar fates of enforced disappearances, and families' protests are often met with empty promises. Last night, the Deputy Commissioner of Turbat assured the family that Naeem would be released within five days. However, the family has declined to end the sit-in (Dharna) and has vowed to continue until his safe release.

We appeal to the people across Shapuk and nearby areas to join Naeem's family in their sit-in (Dharna), and we urge the Baloch Nation not to remain silent when their loved ones are forcibly disappeared; they must resist against it. Together, we can fight against this oppression. Together, we can continue our struggle until the end of Baloch Genocide.
