Such a misstep by Watford and Hertsmere Lib Dems. Yes housing is important but don't steal from our kids for it. Shameful they're even considering demolishing a youth facility for it. Protest held over plans to sell Watford skatepark for housing - BBC News https://t.co/REnyOgewZR
What great story about Dwayne Johnson and Disney. I'm sure a few celebs could learn from this. The Rock hires out cinema for Sudbury schoolchildren to see Moana - BBC News https://t.co/LQxLPt57jv
Thanks @OctopusEnergy for the new scratch cards. My prize ...drum roll..is the chance to BUY Octopus merch, with my own money for 75% of the normal price. That's a prize??? Quite a downgrade from a free coffee.
My annual @affinitywater bill up from about £340 to over £600 in just three years and they want paying with 8 days notice. Enjoy that £25M dividend. Privatisation is truly the gift that keeps on giving.
@Ryanair As bad as that old channel 4 doc about ryanair helping their staff cheat on safety critical exams. I decided then I'd never trust my life to you.
Fantastic set from The Cure at the Isle of Wight Festival, they just get better and better with age. Great coverage on free to air Sky Mix too. Special thanks to whichever Sky exec decided not to have ad breaks to. 10/10
@w1llthemarshal@sue_lees@johnmcdonnellMP And the fact they were being tried for criminal damage but would be punished for terrorism was kept secret from the jury.
@w1llthemarshal@sue_lees@johnmcdonnellMP The issue is that usually people are punished for the crime they were found guilty of: guilty of murder, sentenced for murder, guilty of manslaughter, sentenced for manslaughter etc. in this case they were found guilty of criminal damage but sentenced for terrorism.
@TheBIGJake111@Chadson UK wages have stagnated since 2010 and especially since leaving the EU. UK tech roles pay about half what you'd get. I'm fortunate to be near the top of that 5% but your figures show how far the UK has fallen. And to your og point, sadly many Brits do put Disney on credit.
@TheBIGJake111@Chadson Last year we paid 6000gbp for 10 nights in akl for four in one room, including tickets and free dining but excluding flights, car etc. Average UK take-home is 2400 a month. Top 5% take home 5500. Stay in a value and it's half that.
@BMLBod The values are fine but v basic. Do the maths on moderates or AKL with free dining if it's available on your dates. It'll cost a bit more upfront but you might save overall and the all inclusive feel adds a whole extra dimension, especially so with the deluxe AKL plan.
