It’s 1983 and you're playing Star Wars at the arcades for the first time, after watching the movies. Words cannot describe it.
For perspective: other popular games around that time were Pac-Man, Dig Dug, Qbert, Joust, and BurgerTime... all great in their own way. But Star Wars literally catapulted you into a whole new universe.
The graphics were nuts, and so were the digitized voices and sound effects straight from the movie (“Use the Force, Luke!”). To top it all off, John Williams’s iconic score delivered maximum nerd chills.
This game will forever be linked to one of the best arcade eras ever.
@CFPBoard One of the biggest flaws in adding AI to your tech stack is that YOU still need to update your various systems so their data is current.
If not, your AI is likely to pull obsolete data in its attempt to help you.
@dhh We should have a benchmark - put up random human code against random AI code.
I’d bet the AI code is cleaner on average, even if it’s more verbose.
We should call it “Slop Or Not?” Like the old hot or not worked.

@skdh They can’t build the datacenters needed.
They don’t have the funding yo build them anyway.
Progress requires more compute.
They can’t afford more compute.
So they throw a Hail Mary to have an excuse to stop their drunken sailor spending spree.
