@pastherandie Erewhon is a meme in LA for how expensive it is (plus they sell raw dairy, which rich people think is… better? not lethal?). So it’s dumb to complain about the cost of groceries while shopping there. But I guess can be true.
@pastherandie Hate to say it, but there is only one grocery chain I can think of more expensive than WF. It’s Erewhon in LA and I just priced it to about $175.
@CFCTriice @thegeekreborn @PricklyAmbivert@iampeatrujillo @caroledwine @pastherandie @VirgisViews WF in Los Angeles $124
Erewhon in Los Angeles $159
and if it was 7 lbs of beef (the stack on the right looks a little taller) then it’s $173.85
Seems pretty stupid to complain about the price of groceries if you’re shopping at Erewhon though. But it is indeed that expensive.
I want to be in a relationship for all the normal gooey snoozefest reasons but also because I need someone to say “Ooooo that sounds good” as I read the menu of a restaurant aloud from my phone days before we’re actually eating at said restaurant
The secret to getting kids reading is the same thing that worked in the nineties. Reading Rainbow. Free pizzas. Shakespeare rom-coms. A million Jane Austen adaptations. Movies where a guy gifts his beloved an enormous library. Dog who acts out the classics.
Everyone thinks the whole nepo baby thing is about their parents literally lining them up with a job, but it's about knowing you can take risks and really go for it because your family can help you out financially if it all goes wrong. It's about even feeling like you can try.
