Totally agree! When @Casey_Review and I met last year this was the basis of the conversation…. So to see that only “child prostitution “ offences were included was absolutely a cop out by the government! Yet again! The easy option!
So many child victims of the “grooming gangs” that I’ve supported over almost 15 years have long lists of convictions for public order, minor offences which they were charged with when the police/social services SHOULD have been protecting them instead!
It’s much easier to prosecute a child than pull together a lengthy investigation of a sophisticated organised network of abusers! Cheaper. Less resource intensive! And so that’s what happened!
Shocking! Inhumane! Neglect of duty in my opinion and that’s what I’ve said for 30 years, even as a cop! And this is exactly what happened to many of the Rochdale girls of course, ruining lives! Preventing them moving forward, struggling to move beyond their abuse.
So it’s really good to see Louise casey reiterating this and of course reading @fionagoddarduk and Jamie Leigh share their personal horrific stories hits this point home again.
And keeps the pressure on those in power who constantly drag their feet and do nothing to bring meaningful change!! 😡

💔 THIS IS HEARTBREAKING. COULD DARTMOOR TRULY LOSE ITS PONIES? 🐴📉
A devastating warning has been issued by campaigners who fear that up to NINETY PERCENT of Dartmoor’s iconic semi-wild hill ponies could completely disappear from the moorland.
Over 23,000 people have already signed an emergency petition demanding action to protect them.
New rules drawn up by Natural England mean that grazing limits across the moors are being slashed. But here is the catch: campaigners say the famous ponies are being lumped into the exact same livestock quotas as commercial cattle and sheep.
Because they are competing for the same reduced space, it's feared farmers will be forced to remove the ponies to make way for more financially viable livestock.
The Dartmoor Hill Pony Association warns that numbers have already plummeted from 7,000 to just 900 in the last 25 years. They are already listed as an officially endangered native breed. Campaigners warn that once they are gone from the moor, they are gone forever.
Natural England says they want to ensure "optimal numbers" remain and that ponies are vital for restoring the landscape—but officials confirm they must be included in the total livestock count.
Dartmoor simply wouldn’t be Dartmoor without the ponies. Do you think it’s fair to treat these historic animals the same as farm livestock?

They met in the council pound and became friends. Both were facing euthanasia but thankfully a small charity has rescued them both. Can anyone offer them a home together and give them the happy ever after they deserve please?

Carol and Hubert are still here and are approaching 1 year old. at this point, I'm willing to let them go separately if that helps them find homes. They are getting 0 interest as a pair and they'll be fine separated. please share
Ralph is still available, can you share to help him on his way?
Ralph is a 3 year old male French Bulldog. He is available and looking for a new home.
Ralph is fine with kids. He would be best with older kids over 7 years old.
He eats anything from dry to wet food. He isn't keen on chicken food as this makes him sick.
Ralph will sleep in his dog bed in any room that it is in.
He loves people and treats.
Ralph would be best as the only pet in the home as this is what he is use too.
He will occasionally have an accident in the house so will need further guidance with toilet training but does seem to be doing well.
For more information or to offer Ralph a new home please email [email protected]

We had a tenant move out of one of our rental properties and leave behind a mountain of trash.
As awful as that was, it got worse.
They also left behind two cats… to die.
One was locked in the garage with no food and no water.
The other was trapped in the house with no food and had water only because the toilet seat had been left up.
If we hadn’t gone back into that garage for another week or two, that cat would’ve been dead.
I genuinely can’t understand how someone could do that to an animal.
The crazy part?
These cats are unbelievably sweet.
We brought them out to the farm and we’re working to acclimate them into becoming farm cats now. Hopefully they’ll have a much better life ahead of them than the one they came from.
People can leave trash behind.
That can be cleaned up.
Leaving living animals behind to suffer is something entirely different.
I've just listed my watercolour vegetable seed packet bunting to my Etsy shop! Hang in a greenhouse, kitchen or gift to a gardener friend!
