Kudos to Ingrid Eitzen, Siri Marte Hollekim-Strand and Harald Markussen for a terrific Sports Physiotherapy book. 🇳🇴 Very experienced clinicians, all deeply embedded in sport. Book is beautifully illustrated. What you'd expect from Norway. #Leaders
@shanekellypt@pedlarcr@Physical_Prep We (OSTRC and Olympiatoppen) have had a great collaboration with AthleteMonitoring since 2018. NB our use mostly limited to injury and illness surveillance using the OSTRC questionnaires, which work very well with the system
Fantastic lecture on concussion rehab from @Kat_Schneider7 at #IOCATPC2022
Asymptomatic physical activity is safe in the early phase. Prescription guidelines 👇
Fantastic presentation by @JaneSThornton on achieving excellence as a team physician at #IOCATPC2022. And beautiful slides! Something tells me she has read @presentationzen 😉
@KarimKhan_IMHA @Blazey85@will_s_t@clare_ardern@RoaldBahr This is fantastic!!
On a similar note, I've been really inspired by the online interactive visualisations that accompany the publications from the Niels Bohr Professorship.

A glimpse of the future of scientific publishing! Kudos @John_J_McGrath et al.
1/2 🚨ORIGINAL RESEARCH🚨
So happy to finally have this paper out. Injury AND Illness in an elite cohort over multiple seasons. Insight into athletics injury at the top not seen before:
1. Hamstring muscle strain
2. Achilles tendinopathy
3. Soleus muscle strain

@rob_dod @norskfysio @OnlinePhysios@in_lydia I moved here 16 years ago. No problems getting my Australian qualifications recognised. I didn't speak Norwegian at first, but was able to start working in private practice speaking English. Took a few years to be comfortable speaking Norwegian at work, but worth the effort.
Underrated study - this program has been shown to reduce shoulder injuries but not via increasing strength - again there are alternative mechanisms!

@HowellDR @AJSM_SportsMed Wow, very effective program! I'm curious to know how it would have worked among youth athletes with no history of concussion. Did you consider a non-concussed intervention and control group?
@FigtreePhysio Main problem is the cross-sectional design, so no causal relationship can be inferred between stretching and injury. "Injured runners stretch more" is different to "stretching causes injury".
I am trying to get an overview of all master's degrees in sports physiotherapy around the world. Please reply/DM with details of your programme, including the duration, ECTS credits (if applicable) & eligibile professions (i.e. physio only or multiple professions)
