You watch a preacher long enough, he will disappoint you.
You attend a church long enough, it will let you down in some way.
You serve in a ministry for some time, you will get hurt.
All of these are true but it does not mean you quit, get bitter or leave.
It does mean that you forgive, stay steadfast and focussed on Jesus.
Pray for your pastor.
Be faithful in your local church.
Serve others.
We said it yesterday and we'll say it again; your church isn't cool enough to have choreographed skeletons dancing through the fog on stage to Billie Eilish's Bad Guy.
But Church by the Glades is.

Why did Jesus insist on being baptized?
He answered that question pretty clearly, but you won’t understand if you’re determined to deny the importance of His active obedience.

Trump was shot on 7/13.
1 Chronicles 7:13 reads: "The sons of Naphtali: Jahziel, Guni, Jezer and Shallum, the descendants of Bilhah."
Wow! Really makes you think.
This doesn’t apply though. If you keep reading the next verse it’s not about the flesh at all… we should the read the Bible in the correct context, all verses around it included.
You should read that verse from James in the broader context of the chapter. It’s not talking about faith to achieve worldly goals. It’s talking about how we’re justified and how our good works are evidence of a true believer.
“For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.”
Believing in something bigger than you does not guarantee success, or happiness. Many times it’s exactly the opposite. Picking up the cross doesn’t ensure a life of ease. There will be test, set backs, & adversity. Those who accept this journey, and embrace this path can persevere. It’s not enough to believe it will happen. You have to make it happen!
Is studying scripture and finding an answer to something wrong? Based on this tweet it seems like you aren’t ever supposed to have a definite answer to things. I’ve noticed that those that don’t actually believe in inerrancy go the way of not being able to know anything.
You shouldn’t trust anybody who thinks they’ve got God and his ways all figured out: they reshape God to fit their tidy little box of rational, man-made systematic theology. I believe in the inerrancy of Scripture. I do not believe in the inerrancy of anyone’s interpretation of it, even mine. That’s why we must approach God’s Perfect Word with humility, and we must offer our interpretation the same way. No imperfect human can perfectly interpret God’s Word all the time. So beware of those who never admit “I could be wrong on this…” They deny 1 Cor. 13:9: “Our knowledge is incomplete and our ability to speak what God has revealed is incomplete.” (GW) “For we only know in part and can only prophesy in part.”(NIV) “We know only a portion of the truth, and what we say about God is always incomplete.” (Mes) If you believe God endorses every one of your biases, you’ve made God into your own image.
