@Grant_Jenkins One of the first things a mentor told me when I got my first job. ‘Be productive not busy’. I worked in the public service for a bit. Lots of busy workers minimal productive ones.
@RUGBY_STR_COACH@peterthiel This has been in my mind a bit lately. The barbell is the most overrated piece of fitness equipment....all drugs should be legalised..... these are 2 that come to mind. Unsure if they are 1% though
@Grant_Jenkins I had 6 years experience in S&C in Union and didn’t get a rugby league role because I had no league ‘experience’ according to the management. I said the principles are all the same but that did not fly with them.
@Grant_Jenkins Everything I apply to my PT and clinical clients is through my S&C lens. Great results and enjoyable for me. Once I stopped worrying about who I was training (e.g. elite vs everyday person) and checked my ego every training client I try to treat as ‘elite’.
@Lundsanity51@RUGBY_STR_COACH@loftistrong@Nick__DiMarco Fair enough comment regarding his knowledge etc but he is perpetuating stereotypes about the profession. If you can attribute his behaviour to increased wins then I’ll be damned.
@RUGBY_STR_COACH@loftistrong@Nick__DiMarco@RUGBY_STR_COACH in your travels do you think this is unique to American culture? Hype and energy a big focus there with good and bad elements. This guy is on the extreme end though. If I was a player he would piss me off
