Growing up Modern Orthodox, the Miami Boys Choir never entered my consciousness. I thought it was a yeshivish thing. Maybe I was just too much of a rock snob. But I cant recall any friends listening to them either.

Other MOs have a different experience?

@jaynordlinger Israel is not defending or helping Russia. But they are a tiny tiny country with Russia literally on their border in Syria (thanks in part to Obama), a border that Russia lets them cross for operations. They can’t be suicidal & give that up to actively help Ukraine.

@DBashIdeas In our wider society, Ortho Jews are marginalized, demonized on Netflix, attacked on NYC streets, unwelcome at CUNY & other campuses.

LGBT by contrast are glamorized.

So I’d love to see a statement of inclusion about Ortho Jews in gay spaces. Perhaps next time I’m on Broadway!
