@AdoptionsUk Probably spend all their money on drugs and booze, rather than vet fees. Despicable beings.

[Bernard Ashley @BerringtonBear]

@juneslater17 Spot on!

[Bernard Ashley @BerringtonBear]

@dudleylad1066 Who the hell is David Harewood anyway? Just another one jumping on the PC bandwagon it seems.

[Bernard Ashley @BerringtonBear]

@Saralimback Looks like a type of bee from the photo. Hornet's body is longer, had one in my greenhouse yesterday.

[Bernard Ashley @BerringtonBear]

@vftpottingbench Is this Cosmos Apricotta? I'm growing it this year and really like it.

[Bernard Ashley @BerringtonBear]

@sarahlwain Sad news indeed. The TV series played a major part in my understanding of horticulture and walled gardens, and the DVD often gets an airing. I'm now a volunteer in the walled garden at NT Berrington Hall so all very fitting!

[Bernard Ashley @BerringtonBear]

@vftpottingbench Here in north Herefordshire hardly drop so far. A month since the last significant rain but as I speak, I hear raindrops on the conservatory roof. Fingers crossed 🤞.

[Bernard Ashley @BerringtonBear]

@FrankRGardner @BBCSpringwatch But the sentences for those convicted are pathetic. They need to be a lot tougher if we are to deter these despicable acts.

[Bernard Ashley @BerringtonBear]

Always good to see accidental plant combinations popping up in the garden. Thalictrum aquilegifolium with a purple berberis. @HardyPlantSoc @tamsinwesthorpe @TobyBuckland

[Bernard Ashley @BerringtonBear]

@RobbieCumming Another great series Robbie. It works on many different levels, locks included!

[Bernard Ashley @BerringtonBear]

@BeingBoycie I thought I had disabled the alarm in my settings but the wretched thing still went off. To quote Private Frazer, "we're all doomed!".

[Bernard Ashley @BerringtonBear]

@PaulCliftonBBC @networkrailwest @GWRHelp @CrossCountryUK How prophetic that only last week you were reporting on the closure of the DN &S and the Midland and SW Junction rail lines. They could do with them now.

[Bernard Ashley @BerringtonBear]

A striking, albeit accidental, Spring colour combo of euphorbia characias and the fresh leaves of rose Munstead Wood @HardyPlantSoc @tamsinwesthorpe #Springflowers

[Bernard Ashley @BerringtonBear]

@vftpottingbench Just potted on mine today. Fingers crossed!

[Bernard Ashley @BerringtonBear]

Not sure about my pinus patula. The effects of the cold weather in December (below minus 10c here in Herefordshire) are only just becoming evident. I'll keep my fingers crossed. @GWandShows @tamsinwesthorpe @TobyBuckland

[Bernard Ashley @BerringtonBear]

@vftpottingbench Salvia Hotlips.

[Bernard Ashley @BerringtonBear]

@cleanupbritain We seem to have introduced a generation that thinks it's quite ok to chuck your rubbish out of the window. Totally oblivious to the environmental impact.

[Bernard Ashley @BerringtonBear]

@BeingBoycie Prinsted, part of Chichester Harbour, between Bosham and Emsworth. Not much of a beach, all stones, and mud when the tide was out!

[Bernard Ashley @BerringtonBear]

@Duncan_Smart1 @lrcwalks @NT_Brockhampton Sorry to have missed your walk Duncan. I was reccying my Colwall walk with Jim, train from Ledbury. It was planned for March 16th but it looks like there may be a train strike that day! May have to reschedule.

[Bernard Ashley @BerringtonBear]

@lewis_e_atkin I'm doing it more and more now with perennials, grasses and annuals. Just seems more natural and helps to suppress weeds.
