I have nothing against him as a person, he seemed like a nice enough guy, but I think the praise seems a bit excessive. He was a modern man, which was good, but that should also really be expected.

All "problems" mentioned can be easily fixed by just allowing payment in kind for the portion applied to shares/similar

Although I don't think many like you will care, the real issue is that you and rich people don't want to pay tax

Anyone with basic knowledge of the list will see that due to the list being very top-heavy and the top 3 (20%) and others just in the top 20 (42%) have lived abroad for long this will give a warped picture.

The point about the 400 is deceptive

With those that might count with the recent increase the maximum is 9-13% (or even 7-13%), just correcting for the top 20, so likely actual number quite lower

Also natural to consider that a lot is likely tangential to the wealth tax itself

Friendly reminder to California: Taxes on unrealized capital gains have led to more than half of the wealth held by Norway’s top 400 taxpayers moving abroad.

I.e. Norway has become more equal and made everybody poorer and worse off, just as expected from strong socialist ideas.

- The use of control/country here is fuzzy (min 2.2%)
- Shippowners are a disproportionate part of Norways wealthiest and are historically NOTORIOUS tax dodgers no matter country of origin (ca. 20%)
