Hello friends, I have a new publication “Digital Phenotypes of Mobile Keyboard Backspace Rates and Their Associations With Symptoms of Mood Disorder: Algorithm Development and Validation” out at @jmirpub using @BiAffect keyboard w/ @alexfeuillet@pshrink@PsychiatryUic!
Speaking of patterns, @thisisUIC's @alexfeuillet a recent paper reported that people with lower cognitive performance have less healthy smartphone usage. It supports the idea that this type of data can be used to create an "early warning system" for the #brain. #neurotech
@danielsaidi Wow!!! Thank you Daniel and I am so fortunate that we now can count you as a member of our ever growing BiAffect citizen science community!! Yay😍😍😍😍 together we will make a difference in #mentalhealth
I'm so goddamn proud to know the @BiAffect team and get to share the amazing work they do in this article! Based on the University of Illinois at Chicago, they have created a custom keyboard that analyzes typing pattern to track mental health. Truly amazing!
Wow!! the wonderful Shannon Young who has been tweaking and improving me over the years is now officially a part-time software engineer @BiAffect. She brings so much expertise in #swift and #iOS and I can't be more excited to have her super power upgrade me going forward 🥳🥳
Wow!! The latest iteration of me now supports daily journaling by tapping the Add Note in the daily keypress graph! To protect privacy all text entries are saved locally on the phone for personal use only☺️☺️
Finally!! In this preprint @BiAffect Go/No-Go from all citizen scientists showed that one may not learn to improve reaction time, definitely slow down with age, but one can still learn to be more accurate in our actions!! So wise😊😊 https://t.co/PXDYOuEzM7
😱😱😱😱we as a community @biaffect are so blessed!! Thank you @IEEESpectrum 🥹 on behalf of every citizen scientist contributor. They really deserve all the credits here!!
That's a wrap! @BiAffect is likely being included in the upcoming documentary Brainstorm, about #bipolar disorder! So proud of everyone who has contributed to this #citizen#science project. Thank you @SaraSchley and Bonnie for coming to Chicago!!
Look forward to hosting Gregg @PsychiatryUic grand rounds in two weeks! Open to all #Chicago area mental health professionals, trainees, and community partners! @uiccom. So excited for Gregg to meet other members of our research lab @BiAffect@UIConect
That time of the year #phd#graduation hooding ceremony. So happy that @BiAffect@UIConect member Mindy Ross is now Dr. Ross! We are gonna miss Mindy a lot🥲🥲
