@Walmart How did Alice Walton become the richest woman on earth? STOCK BUYBACKS and paying workers less than $15 an hour, that how!
Concentrated wealth is an indication of #corporate#greed, not individual brilliance.

CORCA hands corporations and the government more surveillance power. More facial recognition in stores, more data-sharing between Walmart, Amazon, DHS & ICE, and more risks for workers, customers, immigrants, and vulnerable communities. #StopCORCA

New study by @EconomicPolicy@LaborLabUS finds employers are still spending BILLIONS on "union avoidance specialists "
In case you forgot, union busting is disgusting! 🤮 🤢
A new study reveals that employers are spending big to maintain their dictatorial control over the workplace and crush unions.
It’s a daunting amount of money, but it’s not impossible to overcome if workers can act with clarity, unity, and strategy. https://t.co/dz2tFYqNTw

The minimum wage would be more than $23 an hour today if it were adjusted for productivity.
That’s $15.75 that bosses are stealing from a worker every hour.
Corporate profits and CEO pay are hitting historic highs off the backs of workers.
A timely and much needed reminder from @anatosaurus: We cannot poll, cajole Democrats, or even vote our way to democracy. We must take to the streets and demand it.

Make no mistake- what is happening in Georgia is part of a concerted effort by major corporations - many of them retail employers - to erode workers' rights and dismantle administrative oversight agencies tasked with holding them accountable to obeying the law.
Amazon is challenging the @NLRB's constitutionality in a bid to dismiss labor complaints.
“This is part of a broader effort on the part of conservative voices in the country...attempting to dismantle the administrative state,” says @BiancaRebelde78

This is a major WIN for the @Teamsters and DSP drivers!!! Now its time for @amazon to recognize the union and for the DOL to fix other, unjust misclassifications that hurt workers and our economy.
Amazon Teamsters Win Monumental NLRB Ruling: Amazon Drivers are Amazon Workers!
Amazon delivery drivers represented by Teamsters Local 396 in Palmdale, Calif., won a groundbreaking decision that sets the stage for Amazon delivery drivers across the country to organize with the Teamsters. After more than a year-long investigation, National Labor Relations Board Region 31 (NLRB) found that Amazon is a joint employer of its Delivery Service Partner (DSP) drivers, and therefore has a legal duty to recognize and bargain with the Teamsters Union.
Amazon began hiring DSP drivers in 2018 with the launch of its DSP program, quickly becoming one of the country’s largest delivery companies. Amazon has avoided responsibility for its drivers through its DSP subcontractor business model, claiming DSP drivers are not official employees of Amazon. The NLRB’s joint employer determination shatters that myth and makes clear that through its DSP business model, Amazon exercises widespread control over drivers’ labor and working conditions, making Amazon the drivers’ employer.
The Teamsters are confident the NLRB’s regional determination for the Palmdale workers will extend to Amazon DSP drivers who unionize nationwide. There are nearly 280,000 DSP drivers across the country and the Teamsters are organizing nationwide so every Amazon driver can have a fighting union in their corner with the Teamsters.
The battle to organize Amazon is labor’s great challenge of the 21st century — and it’s a fight the Teamsters will win.
