Lincoln needed to establish the federal government as the colossus of America, a force that could and would crush state sovereignty, which is the foundation of the republic
Abraham Lincoln repeatedly stated his war was caused by money, and not by slavery at all:
"My policy sought only to collect the Revenue (a 40 % federal sales tax on imports to Southern States under the Morrill Tariff Act of 1861)." reads paragraph 5 of Lincoln's First Message to the U.S. Congress, penned July 4, 1861.
"I have no purpose, directly or indirectly, to interfere with the institution of slavery in the States where it exists. I believe I have no lawful right to do so, and I have no inclination to do so," Lincoln said in his first inaugural on March 4 of the same year.
Lincoln declared war to collect taxes in his two presidential war proclamations against the Confederate States, on April 15 and 19th, 1861: "Whereas an insurrection against the Government of the United States has broken out and the laws of the United States for the collection of the revenue cannot be effectually executed therein."
The #Catholic church lacks faith in #Christ but believes very strongly in apostate garbage like liberation theology which has animated the church for over 500 years. It is a den of demons and thieves
William Tyndale didn't just disagree with purgatory, he completely roasted it as a the theological absurdity and a financial scam that it is.
Theological absurdity: If the blood of Jesus actually cleanses us from all sin, then adding a purgatorial fire on top of it is basically saying the cross wasn't enough. Tyndale pointed out the ridiculousness of it by asking why a little money to the Pope could get a soul out of purgatory, but the blood of Christ couldn't.
Financial racket: The church kept people terrified for their dead loved ones and then offered a financial cure for that fear. Tyndale even called his opponent Thomas More the "Proctor of Purgatory" because he saw the defenders of the doctrine as lawyers protecting a fraudulent business model.
Tyndale's all our rejection of purgatory wasn't just a side issue… it was central to recovering the gospel. He was defending the truth that our standing before God rests entirely on the finished work of Christ and not on human works or buying clerical favors.
This month marks 500 years since a small, illegal book began slipping into England hidden in bales of cloth and barrels of goods. It was William Tyndale’s English New Testament, and it changed the world.
Published in 1526, it was the first English NT translated directly from the original Greek… but Tyndale was far more than a translator. He was a scholar, theologian, linguist, reformer, and martyr whose work helped reshape the English Bible, the English language, and the Reformation itself.
Here is why we need to remember this remarkable man:
📖 Tyndale believed Scripture belonged in the hands of ordinary Christians, not locked behind Latin, clerical authority and scholarly privilege. When challenged by a wealthy clergyman, he famously declared:
"I defy the Pope and all his laws. If God spares my life, ere many years I will cause a boy that driveth the plough to know more of the Scriptures than thou dost."
To do it, he fled England and spent years translating in hiding while authorities hunted him.
🗣️ He shaped the English language.
Every time you say:
• “The salt of the earth.”
• “My brother’s keeper”
• “Eat, drink and be merry”
• “Go the extra mile”
• “Fighting the good fight”
• “Broken-hearted”
…among so many other phrases, you are quoting Tyndale. When English lacked words for Hebrew concepts, he invented them: atonement, Passover, scapegoat, mercy seat. He even included the first glossary in an English Bible to help readers understand his translation choices.
His extraordinary gift for English became the foundation for the King James Version, weaving his words into the very fabric of our language.
👑 The King James translators couldn't improve upon his work.
When 54 scholars were commissioned in 1611 to create the King James Bible, they were tasked with producing a brand new translation... but when they sat down to the work, they found they didn't need to reinvent the wheel.
Tyndale’s cadence, vocabulary, and grasp of the original languages were so masterful that the committee found they simply could not improve upon his phrasing. They adopted his work as the backbone of their own.
Modern computer analysis confirms that roughly 84% of the King James New Testament, and 76% of the Old Testament books Tyndale translated, are essentially Tyndale’s exact words.
When you read the King James Bible, you are hearing the voice of William Tyndale.
🔥 He counted the Word worth dying for. Tyndale was betrayed, arrested, and imprisoned in a cold castle for over a year. On October 6, 1536, he was strangled and burned at the stake.
His final recorded prayer was not for his own life, but for his enemies:
“Lord, open the King of England’s eyes.”
Within just a few years, English Bibles were being placed in churches throughout the realm. Tyndale died, but his work lived, and the Word of God went forth.
By the providence of God, the work of one faithful man helped to put the Scriptures into the hands of millions upon millions of people for centuries.
Ppl love to say Jesus hung out with prostitutes and tax collectors and forget the part where the hookers stopped hooking and the tax collectors stopped stealing.
The devil is, quite literally, in the (omitted) details.
Roman Catholics: "Jesus said we literally eat His flesh and drink His blood!!!"
Jesus: The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you—they are full of the Spirit and life.
.@POTUS: Mercedes-Benz is investing $4B to expand its plant in Tuscaloosa. U.S. Steel is investing $475M at its plant near Birmingham. Eli Lilly is investing $6B to create a new factory in Huntsville. ArcelorMittal is investing $1.2B for an advanced steel manufacturing facility in Mobile. We just opened a brand new facility to build Navy submarines in Cherokee — and we're building new Coast Guard Cutters right here in Mobile.
MANUFACTURING IS BACK!
David and Jonathan were not presented in Scripture as being in a sexual or romantic relationship, they were not in the same sex marriage ...
This generation will use scriptures to defend there deception
One of the greatest acts of biblical dishonesty in our generation is taking one of the purest friendships in the Bible and sexualizing it to defend a modern agenda.
The story of David and Jonathan is about covenant, loyalty, sacrifice, brotherhood, and friendship. It is not a hidden love story.
Jonathan protected David when everyone else wanted him dead.
Jonathan surrendered his own right to the throne because he recognized God's hand upon David.
Jonathan risked his life for David.
David mourned Jonathan because he had lost a brother, a covenant friend, and one of the few people who never betrayed him.
Yet somehow, people read all of that and conclude, "They must have been lovers."
That is not biblical interpretation. That is reading modern ideas back into an ancient text.
The Bible never says David and Jonathan slept together.
The Bible never calls them husbands.
The Bible never describes a romantic relationship between them.
The Bible never even hints at a sexual relationship.
People are not discovering homosexuality in the story—they are inserting it into the story.
If every deep friendship between two men must be romantic, then this generation has forgotten what genuine brotherhood looks like.
Men can cry together.
Men can love one another as brothers.
Men can make lifelong covenants of friendship.
Men can sacrifice for each other without sex being involved.
Not every expression of love is sexual.
Our culture has become so obsessed with sex that it struggles to imagine love without romance.
That is a tragedy.
Scripture must never be twisted to fit culture. Culture must be tested by Scripture.
The Word of God is not clay for us to mold into whatever we want. It is truth that molds us.
Read the Bible for what it says—not for what you wish it said.
Stop rewriting God's Word to accommodate modern ideologies.
The Bible does not need editing.
It needs believing.
1 John 3 refutes this idea entirely. Those who are in Christ do NOT make a practice out of sin.
"No one who abides in Him keeps on sinning; no one who keeps on sinning has either seen Him or known Him." —1 John 3:6
You might be gay, but you aren't Christian.
More than 270 Catholic clerics sexually abused nearly 1,000 children across three Massachusetts dioceses according to a report released by the state’s attorney general’s office this week.
Why is France gone?
Some 450 years ago in 1572, the Roman Catholic church during the St. Bartholomew Day’s Massacre brutally murdered tens of thousands of Huguenot Christians. These were French Protestants influenced by John Calvin.
Estimates had the Huguenot population at around 2 million in 1572, roughly 10% of France. After the intense persecution by Rome, the number dropped dramatically. 1685 was the final "nail in the coffin" for the Huguenot church and believers. Louis XIV’s Edict of Fontainebleau outlawed Protestant worship, destroyed churches, and ordered forced conversions.
Since this transpired, France has been a nation of turmoil. From the French Revolution of 1789, to the rise of Napoleon, rise of secularism, to nominal Catholicism, France is ripped to be the first Islamic dominated European nation in the coming decades.
Just study the history of Roman Catholicism. In virtually every country where they persecuted true believers, these counties became socialist hellholes or extremely secular. France today, is the rotted fruit of Rome's rule...
I was an adulterer, an alcoholic, a greedy man, an addict, and sexually immoral, living only for myself. Nothing could have prevented me from continuing in such a life. Until the day Jesus Christ shined the light of the Gospel of grace into my life.
There is no pit too deep!
