@TheCavsJack I mean I don’t value 1st swaps highly considering that the team trading them is going to have the least valuable pick almost always, but that’s just me
@acase22@Pchopz_ You have to look at the cavs perspective though. What if Donovan doesn’t sign an extension this year? You run the risk of injury or disappointment and then what if the following year he says he wants out?
If he signs an extension it’s clear you build around him
Former #Browns RB Nick Chubb said letters and notes from fans that he received after his knee injury helped him through the mental aspect of his rehab.
He still has those letters.
@realcavsfans@PulseCleveland I would argue that unless you get just horrendous offers, you trade him unless he signs an extension.
Theres just way too much uncertainty of him not resigning at that point to where you can’t risk him getting hurt/being unhappy to where he might leave for nothing
@GuardsJoey I love that he has the eye to challenge a ball that is 0.1” outside the strike zone but when they throw a fastball down the middle he doesn’t swing
@fakecorykinnan How would you compare him to some of the other QBs in the draft next year? Like if the 2027 NFL draft was today, what rank would you have him?
@bavsarino@Pchopz_ No because he has a gambling problem… if he didn’t have a problem then he would enter the regular draft like every other QB prospect next year
@___Colb___ I mean you just can’t do a 2nd. A supposedly great QB draft class next year and you’re going all in on a player with known issues before the season even starts?
A 3rd or less let’s you take him and if you’re in a good spot in the 2027 draft then you can take another QB
@___Colb___ Honestly think the only way it happens is a 3-team deal.
Thunder get Mobley
(Insert bad team) Get picks
Cavs get ???
In the end I wouldn’t do it. Doubt we’d get good enough compensation to replace Mobley
