Eddie wearing Thierry Mugler happened because I was pitching a science fiction movie to Eddie and I used a lot of Thierry Mugler photos of his clothes as part of the pitch. That movie didn't happen, but then Eddie hired me to direct Boomerang and said he wanted to wear Mugler in that fim. I loved it because it showed you could be a Black professional and not a cornball.

This young Black dad, 23-year-old Diamond Steen, was killed by an O’Reilly’s Auto Parts store manager in Kansas City in 2023. Carl Kemppainen, 39, followed him outside, falsely accused him of theft, and strangled him to death. Diamond left behind a six-month-old baby. 😔

Author Tomi Adeyemi is distancing herself from Paramount’s upcoming adaptation of her novel ‘CHILDREN OF BLOOD AND BONE’.

• She co-wrote the script with director Gina Prince-Bythewood.

• Posted a screenshot revealing that she blocked one of the film’s stars, Amandla Stenberg.
