@Needed2ReadPost@garicgtad@sensiblemiddle@SenTedCruz Exactly this! Trump hid the fact that he was planning to tell this mob to walk to the Capitol. He got exactly what he wanted, although it probably exceeded even his wildest dreams.
@phillips_a71331@AreCadencing@sensiblemiddle@SenTedCruz I’m old enough to remember the Trump campaign meeting with a self-described “Russian Agent” in Trump Tower, lying about it repeatedly including on AF1, then coming clean just before the emails dropped in the press. Yeah, right - a hoax - “if it’s what you say I love it!”
@HRH_SHP As far as I’m concerned you can say whatever you want about any musician, as long as you aren’t inciting hatred or violence. Your posts did raise a perennial question, however. Are you MAGA because you’re such an unhappy person, or are you horribly unhappy because you are MAGA?
@ProgressingCali@RobManess@CynicalPublius@SecWar The SecDef is a Cabinet member. The
purpose of the U.S. Cabinet is to advise the President and help carry out the laws of the nation. It serves as the President's core advisory body and leadership team. You are basically a useful idiot, but you did know the word “portfolio”.
@miadmaleki@WSJopinion You don’t really think they’ll fold before the midterms, right? Even if our president and his advisors knows nothing about their country or politics, they are very aware of our political situation and the benefits of holding out until the midterms. They will hold out regardless.
@Charles30032747@lifesoeasy@Timodc The “war on drugs”, as I understand the metaphor, is also in our own country. Does that mean, because we have a war metaphor, that we can therefore have extrajudicial killings of American citizens who are trafficking drugs? I’d be careful with leaning too heavily on that.
@RonJohnson6755@thededricknealy@hissgoescobra No, it’s not the law, stupid. The law says equal “opportunity”. Kimmel is more than happy to give Paxton the opportunity to do an interview. But Paxton wouldn’t come anywhere near a show where he might get asked a real question. Trump’s FCC doesn’t care what the law says.

Just to review today:
The Dept of Ed made a post saying they were just like Hitler.
Ted Cruz had a retweet of an account named ‘Ted Cruz’s Tiny Penis’
The WH posted a screen shot of an eagle on top of a Canadian goose but in the video the goose wins.
Trump made a ‘Mission Accomplished’ post on Iran that included George W. Bush & Iraq.
A GOP Rep. banned Jelly Roll from his district because he made a fat joke about Trump.
And the sealant on the Reflecting Pool is peeling again.
Someone just pointed out that—almost unbelievably—this is real footage from a fight in which the Canada goose ultimately prevailed over the eagle: https://t.co/wLQ6O7ccqf
If this isn't a metaphor for US trade policy, I don't know what is.
Let's set the record straight because @RobertKennedyJr’s post is inaccurate and misleading and he is making claims that have been debunked repeatedly by actual scientists and doctors.
Secretary Kennedy called me yesterday morning to ask whether Pennsylvania needed any additional support to respond to the measles outbreak. I told him I appreciated the call but that our Administration and the Pennsylvania Department of Health had all the resources we needed to respond, including existing support from professional staff at the CDC and HHS.
I told him what would be most helpful is if he would join me in encouraging people to get vaccinated and stop spreading misinformation. He then launched into a tirade — talking about fetal tissue and blaming the previous Administration for this problem. He even told me it would be better if we went back to “natural measles.”
Unfortunately at a time where I needed the top “health expert” in the nation to responsibly work with us to deal with this outbreak, he instead chose to go down a rabbit hole of conspiracy theories and false claims.
To his claim about fetal tissue, that has been thoroughly discredited time after time by real doctors and trusted medical institutions like CHOP. In fact, the American Academy of Pediatrics has an entire webpage devoted to this.
They write: “Vaccines do not contain fetal cells. Some vaccines involve growing viruses in human cell cultures originally developed from two aborted fetuses in the 1960s. These cell lines are still going, so no new aborted fetuses are ever needed. Purification processes filter the vaccine during production, and no fetal tissue remains.”
But my conversation with him proved what many of us already knew:
Secretary Kennedy’s actions to dismantle public health agencies and his language that undermines confidence in vetted medical guidance are contributing to these kinds of outbreaks.
Just a few years ago, Secretary Kennedy was in Lancaster downplaying the severity of measles and saying that the cure was “chicken soup and vitamin A.”
Before he held his current position, measles was virtually eliminated in the United States. As recently as 2024, there were only 285 cases of measles across the entire country over 12 months. This year, in just 8 months, there are nearly 400 cases of measles across 29 counties in Pennsylvania alone — and nearly 3,000 cases across the country.
In Pennsylvania, 70 people who have tested positive for measles have been hospitalized this year — and yesterday, our @PAHealthDept announced that two Pennsylvanians who tested positive for measles have died.
According to doctors and medical experts, the MMR vaccine is the best way to protect yourself, your kids, and your community against measles. But we have seen vaccination rates decline on RFK’s watch.
The correlation is clear: Secretary Kennedy has stoked confusion amongst parents and others — and the result has been less protection from measles and more cases.
As a dad, all I want is to protect our four kids. I know that’s how every parent feels. Parents have the right to make their own decisions about how to keep their kids safe and sort through the noise to figure out which information to trust.
So what I’d ask of every parent in Pennsylvania: take any information you get about vaccines and talk to a trusted health care provider about it before you make your decision.
The most important conversation that needs to take place now is one that should happen offline, in the real world, between parents, their trusted health care providers, and other medical experts.
I cannot fucking believe this shit. The motherfucker needs to not only be impeached, but arrested... IMMEDIATELY!
Trump's White House Ran an Extortion Racket Against Colorado — and Got Away With It
This wasn't governing. It was a shakedown.
In December 2025, while Trump publicly demanded Tina Peters' release and smeared Colorado's governor, his White House staffer Emily Underwood ordered five federal agencies onto a "brainstorm call" to immediately starve the state of grants and support. The next day the money started vanishing — hundreds of millions canceled by Transportation and Energy alone. More punishment followed: water funding vetoed, Space Command yanked, a world-class climate lab targeted for dismantling.
The email is a smoking gun. A federal judge called the whole idea "phenomenal" in its brazenness. Colorado's crime? Convicting a Trump ally who tampered with voting machines and refusing to scrap its mail-in ballot system.
The racket worked. Polis folded. Peters walked free. Trump got his win.
This is textbook abuse of power — using the federal treasury as a personal weapon against a state that wouldn't obey. Authoritarian regimes do this. Mature democracies do not. The fact that it succeeded only makes the corruption more disgusting.
Impeachment efforts have been launched over far less. A president who treats an American state like a protection racket target has already forfeited any claim to legitimate authority.
@MAGAinColorado@SenMarkKelly The title of Section 2 is literally “Restoring Steam and Hydraulic Systems to Carriers”. Maybe Trump wants to start with one, but he’s definitely focused on the entire class. And do you have a reference discussing this “team of engineers “? You’re making stuff up 🤷
@dwebs0317@blankrptori@JonathanAFox154@tedlieu@TheJusticeDept “Magically” is doing a lot of work there. You have zero evidence that Biden called for Trump to be prosecuted (for paying off a porn star to save his election - something that is and should be illegal). Trump has gone public demanding that Hearn be prosecuted.
@JimMuessig@tedlieu@TheJusticeDept If they decide to prosecute YOU with zero evidence, are you good with it? Because that’s what Mr. Hearn is going through right now. I suspect you might thank Ted for stepping in.
@GeraldoRivera This “show trial” is doing exactly what it is intended to do. You are tweeting about this trial instead of the Epstein Files. A glorious success for the GOP, who actually couldn’t care less about public health.
@AndrewHoverson@SenAdamSchiff The Big Beautiful Bill pretty much killed any chance of balancing budgets for a while. You do realize there’s two sides of the balance equation, right? Right?
