@Super70sSports Loved the Australian Rules Football on EWTN. Then it vanished and was replaced by endless hours of guys playing poker, as if that’s a sport. Ridiculous.
Glad that someone liked my photo of Bp. Schneider enough to use it. Would be nice if permission was sought beforehand. See original here:

As part of our effort to commemorate America’s 250th birthday this year, we have commissioned statues throughout Florida to honor the influential figures who shaped our nation’s history and civic tradition.
Today, I was proud to unveil our newest statue honoring abolitionist, author, and statesman Frederick Douglass. A devout Christian, he dedicated his life to fighting for equality of all people under the law. Douglass was guided by the same belief that we hold dear today: Our rights are given to us by God, not government.
In 1889, Douglass traveled the country delivering speeches to enthusiastic crowds, including right here in Florida. You can visit his statue in the Plaza de la Constitución, near the site where Douglass once addressed Floridians in St. Augustine.
@amywelborn2@mpboj_pgh *The Latin "abstinentia" means abstinence, and should be under the artwork of the two fish. "Jejunium" means fasting, and should go with the artwork of loaves of bread and a jar. I don't recall where we "borrowed" this lineart from, but I didn't want to use it with that error.
@amywelborn2 Amy, I assemble the bulletin at my parish, @mpboj_pgh, and we use that same Lenten lineart. I'm afraid it has a mistake, though*, which I fixed for our use, and which I'm sending to you.
A blessed Feast of the Holy Family from the parish of the Holy Family, in Latrobe, PA. Canon William Avis of @mpboj_pgh drives over 2 hrs round trip every Sunday for this Mass. There is a high demand in the Diocese of Greensburg for an @ICKSP parish. Let's pray that happens.
Who knows if Oakmont @oakmontborough will pick up leaves again this year? The borough's FAQ says that "The last pick-up is dependent on the amount of leaves that have fallen. This will be decided and will be announced when the time comes." I can't find any such announcement.
@MHDSpudHistory@catboyseider I very much doubt that these photos, however much you like them, are Kodachromes. That film had a speed (what at that time was called ASA) of 64, so the idea of shooting sports with available light (not flash) on Kodachrome at a feasible shutter speed is unrealistic. Sorry!
