As hard as it is to imagine DNDi without Bernard at the helm, he is handing over the reins of an amazing organization committed to equity in health. Welcome, @drluispizarro!
I’m deeply honoured and excited to take over as the new Executive Director of @DNDi. I feel proud to succeed Dr Bernard Pécoul who founded DNDi 19 years ago and with remarkable vision & leadership, has led to the delivery of 12 new treatments. https://t.co/gdsh2jpi63
This is big news. And an historic breakthrough: an HIV self-test available for only $1. That is 30-50% less costly than other WHO-approved tests. Accurate, high-quality, and with ample supply for 140 countries. Savings and improved access = better care.
Great to join @BillRodriguezID on a @dfat @CentreHealthSec podcast to redesign pandemic response around people and not pathogens - focusing on access to multiple diagnostics they might need at point of care. https://t.co/iYGsHEZys8
Thank you @sanjaysarin and @FINDdx for your support and efforts to help us drive toward equitable access for #COVID19 diagnostics in all countries. Let's continue to #ACTogether! #G20
@ACTAccelerator Let's fight pandemic fatigue & keep #COVID19 on the global agenda with sustained political commitment & funding. Getting tests, vaccines, & treatments to all who need them is an open goal to end the pandemic & combat other global scourges.

It’s a sunny Sunday ☀️ . Love this graph as shows the triumph of science in 2020/21- we also now have effective antiviral pills. How was this possible? Full account of the ‘Race for a Covid Vaccine’ in my new 📕 but in short, they built off ongoing MERS & other vaccine research.
Like many, Paul changed the course of my life-for no other reason than he cared about every soul on this planet more than anyone I've ever known. His body may finally be at rest; his own soul will live on in all of us, and the fight for our common humanity. Rest in peace, Polo.

So amazed by and proud of @wawiranjiru and what she has built at @Food4Education. I need a framed photo for my office so when people ask "Who's that?" I can tell them the whole story of how a young Kenyan college student with a kitchen and a vision has changed the world.
Excellent news that @isdb_group have joined the G20 Health and Development Partnership. I am looking forward to participating in next month's H20 Summit and the issue of preparedness/global health security as an economic priority.
NEW: We are delighted to announce that the @isdb_group have become the first major financial partner of the G20 Health and Development Partnership. The Bank will work closely with us on looking at sustainable funding solutions to help close the gap on #SDG3.
@DrDuneton@FINDdx Merci @DrDuneton! Very much looking forward to working closely with you and @UNITAID and tackling #COVID19 and other pressing challenges in global health.
@AnandWrites Erin Brockovich went after The Big Short and birthed The Sting. And now they're pissed that people they took for marks are better scammers than they are.
