My 30-minute conversation with @gwarmothwftv "Central Florida Spotlight" on ABC Orlando @WFTV about status and future of sports betting in Florida ☀️
Covered a lot from Seminole Compact, to Disney + @espn, and what's next

DraftKings stock soared 11+% yesterday with the "launch" of its Prediction Markets exchange, got a bigger bump mid-afternoon (no idea why).
But <1,000 total contracts were traded on 6/26 according to its own daily market report. Their MLB markets still point to NADEX (Crypto. com) rules, not DKeX rules.
They still appear to be testing and not in "launched" status.
"MassHealth members will have to fill out additional paperwork to prove they are eligible for the state’s low-income health insurance."
People now have FILL OUT A FORM to get free medical insurance ... the horror 🤯 😠
PS: Do the illegal aliens still automatically get it?
Also, an assistant coach at Boston College who happened to be the son of the Patriots head coach was ARRESTED IN MAY and no one in Boston media knew about and/or reported it 🙄
The Hawks are on the trade hunt for a big man, league sources tell @JakeLFischer and me.
Just one of many topics covered in a deep-dish serving of Late Night NBA Intel ... Friday Night Edition: https://t.co/RjY9TL0Ikb
@forthepeople These dollar figures are nothing close to what the client ends up with.
From that number, you get your cut, and then ALL the medical expenses paid by the person's insurance get taken out, if she's lucky, she probably got about 30% of this amount
"I'm proud of you now. That is a lot of money for a kid like you, alright? Anybody ask you where you got it? You got it in Vegas playing craps."

@PitcherList MLB and MLBPA have zero say in what states allow in their house rules
Leverage would be in providing live real-time data to operators - far more important than any marketing deals
But sportsbooks may be willing to take the hit in live micro-bets before giving up baseball props

The Major League Baseball Players Association wants to pursue a ban on all MLB-related prop bets, aiming to combat harassment from disgruntled gamblers, a source told ESPN. Story about its proposal Thursday to MLB, free and unlocked, with @DavidPurdum: https://t.co/DPHwqq1MIn
@capjack2000@sbinfluencer Does the wording "AI" have anything to do with the search? Perhaps the algorithm believes the video itself is AI generated and it's being suppressed..
"The Better Business Bureau's National Advertising Division already referred Kalshi to state Attorneys General. Congress launched an investigation around insider trading."
No sides here ... but the Better Business Bureau is the Southern Poverty Law Center of consumer fraud.
This is what happens when prediction market platforms treat deception as a marketing strategy. Polymarket is finally being held accountable.
Kalshi is next.
They also had a fake trade generator. They marketed their product as a way to pay rent. The Better Business Bureau's National Advertising Division already referred Kalshi to state Attorneys General. Congress launched an investigation around insider trading.
The reckoning won’t stop at Polymarket.
Today is a sad day in horse racing.
TVG/FanDuel is officially going away.
Am I surprised???
Not at all.
This is what decades of poor leadership, mismanagement, and a complete lack of vision looks like.
TVG/FanDuel wasn't just a television network.
It was horse racing's best marketing engine.
It created horseplayers. It created owners. It created lifelong fans.
For more than 25 years, TVG/FanDuel educated, entertained, and inspired people with passion, energy, integrity, and authenticity.
Nobody covered this sport better because nobody loved it more.
What a great team of people!!!!!
And now with the leadership entities in racing sitting on 100s of millions we're just letting it disappear. 🤦♂️
Don't underestimate what happens next.
Handle will decline.
Fewer fans will discover racing.
Fewer owners will enter the game.
More tracks will close.
This is so much more than losing a TV network.
This is accelerating the decline of an already struggling sport.
Personally, I wouldn't own 300+ racehorses today without TVG/FanDuel and I probably wouldn't even be the racing fan I am today without them.
Every interview and appearance on that network was an honor. Every person I met there genuinely loved horse racing and fought every day to make it better.
My heart breaks for every employee and every family affected. They all deserved better.
♥️🙏
Thank you TVG/FanDuel.
