Usually, when you buy something online or pay for a service, you have to manually send money. This process can be slow, complicated, or require a middleman like a bank.

The x402 protocol is adding a “Request to Pay” button that’s built right into the internet itself. Whenever your computer asks for a service like running an AI task or getting data.

It can automatically send a small payment with that request, in real time. This works across different blockchain networks, all without waiting or needing someone to approve every payment.

x402 makes it possible for machines to trade money and services instantly and safely on many networks that’s why it could become the new and common way of paying in blockchain.
