✨ Attention Bay Area adjuncts, and/or People Who’d Like to Teach! 💡
My #IxD grad program @CACollegeofArts is hiring people to teach courses in design research, visual design, interaction design foundations, communication and language — and much more! https://t.co/UG15drjSJ5
We are super excited to announce Interaction19 //redux in San Francisco on April 5th! Come to meet amazing speakers & learn about designing for AI, life & eternity! Early bird tickets are selling quickly, hurry up @ixda#ixd19@ixdconf https://t.co/hVGgoEiuRY #SFinteraction19
.@blumbecca is teaching us how far we have already come with #tech beyond the grave - somewhere between creepy and comforting - holograms of loved ones, creating bots of people who have died that you can text with, virtual versions of yourself for after you die #EndWell18
Fun to see so many people laughing while talking about death at @frogdesign#sfdesignweek (I'm still working on that real-time tweeting) https://t.co/XhSPZOESoF
@BlumBecca captivated a packed SF Design Week event last night in our new @frogdesign SF studio with a perspective on designing for death and legacy in a digital age https://t.co/yFy7N8EQfY #sfdesignweek
@mdhanus But mostly absorbed by your last question -- I would say yes! #uncannydeathvalley gets less uncanny for a non-human: 1) (while Mori focused on appearance) communication deepens the uncanniness 2) we don't imagine ourselves in a petBot in the same way as, say, a Romanbot.
@archer_dan Thanks! If you have any quick thoughts on what you found most useful/intriguing, or what you wanted to hear more about, let me know! Always trying to iterate
@amelson@amelson Thanks again for the insightful write-up - mind linking to me directly in your article? (LinkedIn & Twitter would be great. Trying to be better about the tech savvy side of things! https://t.co/YORrl1DINT )
More from SXSW, this time an important conversation with @blumbecca about a difficult subject: What happens to our digital presence after we die? #sxsw18 https://t.co/6JUfW9ctjg
@julie_yost Thank you for helping make it happen! Loved getting to share thoughts on #necrotech#digitaldeath. And excited that you share my love of the Voyager !
