NEW JACKIE UPDATE:

Jackie continues to be alert, perching, eating both assisted and on her own. Jackie is on many medications, and they say that may inhibit her desire to eat on her own. Her energy is improving and she is still being feisty with the staff.

The lead toxicity results show no lead; they are still waiting on zinc levels. There are no real tests for rodenticides, and even though they do not believe that is the issue, they are treating her for that.

She is still severely anemic; they are unable to determine why.

Late Monday she had a blood transfusion, and she seems to be holding her own.
Her kidney values have improved.

She was taken in for a CT scan; there are no obvious signs of cancer or any metals in her body.

They have assembled a team of specialists that are working hard to determine the anemia issue. They also want us all to know, she is still in guarded condition and can turn in a moment. Please keep Jackie and the rest of her family in your thoughts, sending positive energy and prayers.
