📍Khopijang | A video captured by a man, likely one of the people involved in vandalizing/burning of the village including a church in Khopijang, pausing to watch the scene without any shame or guilt. He took a deep breath and mockingly exclaimed how the Meiteis had set blaze the village & raised the Salai taret flag on top of the destructed church in contempt. Raising the Salai Taret Flag on destructed churches is another pathetic tactic often carried out.

This unquestionably violates human rights & ridicules a different religion within democratic India.

In the meantime, the Salai Taret flag has found its way onto not just one, but multiple accounts of usage by Meitei Footballers in their matches. It was recently spotted in action as the Manipur Team faced off against Jharkhand in the group stage of the 77th Santosh Trophy at Vijay Singh Pathik Stadium.

Mr. Valte who represents Thanlon constituency in Pherzawl district, a #Kuki_Zo dominated district returned from Meeting Biren Singh, the Chief Minister of Manipur.

He was on his way home when the radical Meitei mob pulled him out of his convoy along with his driver and took them to a community centre where they brutally tortured and gave electric shocks. While Valte survived and was admitted in a hospital in Delhi, his driver was brutally lynched.

The driver’s wife and son is yet to see his body which is still lying at Imphal morgue.
