One of the worst injuries you need to avoid:
Plantar fasciitis.
I’ve spent 100s of hours reading the research so you don’t have to.
Here’s how you can protect your feet from pain (for good):
Vigorous exercise forces the muscles to produce lactate, which then travels to the brain, triggering the production of key neurotransmitters like serotonin and norepinephrine.
Low levels of norepinephrine and serotonin are linked to anxiety as they hinder our capacity to manage stress, often resulting in a state of learned helplessness.
Analysis of 15 studies found that exercise, particularly vigorous exercise, is effective in alleviating symptoms of anxiety.
You must understand the following: In order to master a field, you must love the subject and feel a profound connection to it. Your interest must transcend the field itself and border on the religious.
Next stop lifting weights! My former powerlifting coach Jim Lem was the 1st 60-yr old to squat 600 lbs. He didn’t start lifting weights until he was 40 and continued lifting 3x week consistently throughout his 70’s.
This picture always reminds me of a guy at my gym named Steve
I've talked about him on here before. He's 83 years old, former marine, and he's in noticeably better shape than 90% of the guys I went to high school with (I'm 36)
He lifts weights 3-5 times per week, program is compound movements and moderate weight for high reps, push pull legs
A while back I asked him what advice he'd give to young people lifting weights (so I could share it on social media 😂)
His advice: "Just start, and then never stop."
A handful of things have an outsized impact on the quality of your aging:
Particularly, how much fat you carry, how "spry" you are, and your mental acuity
All three of those are improved by a weightlifting habit
Be like Steve, and you'll only get old when you quit
Butter has been demonized for decades.
The experts told us it “clogged arteries”.
But it’s actually health-promoting for a large percentage of people.
I’ll cover who should be concerned. And for the rest of us, I’ll cover the healthiest kind of butter.
THREAD

Stop eating 3 hours before bed.
Stop drinking liquids 2 hours before bed.
Stop looking at screens 1 hour before bed.
This is called the 321 method. Do this every night for better sleep.
Low-carb diet with no restriction on calories, with resistance training twice week, led to average 5.6 kg (~12 lbs.) weight loss in 10 weeks.
All weight loss was body fat. No muscle mass was lost.
Establishment healthcare thinks this isn't possible.
Metabolic Campfire!
🔴 Protein- is that wooden chair. It provides structure & function. It is a very integral part of the body. But the body doesn't prefer to use it as Fuel, unless it is an emergency. Much like how you won't use the chair as fire wood unless it is very very necessary.
🔴 Fats- are the huge logs in the camp fire. Once they start burning they will keep burning steadily for a long long time without needing to refuel every now & then. This is the kinda fuel that your body needs the most.
🔴 Carbs- are the kindling (small pieces of wood). They catch fire quickly, provides quick energy, but burns off quickly as well. They are helpful in certain situations, but they are not reliable as fuel because they need to be refuelled very often.
🔴 Ideally, you want to use minimal kindling (Carbs) to start the fire, but want to keep the fire going by burning those big logs (Fats) and you wouldn't ever want to use the chairs (Protein) as fire wood.
