Fin/ Also with Channel Factories, Fabrice mentioned that one problem with watch towers is that you have to store all the old revocation data which makes it currently uneconomical to run. But once el too is implemented, it'll bring the cost down and will be a lot easier to manage.

-Scala and AKKA make Lightning node management very efficient. Their node currently manages over 1,000 private channels.

-Lightning routing will be limited not by protocol but by routing nodes. Cpu's can can only handle thousands of transactions per second before getting overloaded. This can be mitigated a bit by having many highly connected routing nodes.
