the 8-bit and 16-bit emulators were dead easy, just get the rom and run it. and the roms were tiny.

pcsx introduced the idea bios and plugins which lost a lot of people. like you could own the disc even but you couldn’t emulate it because you still had to pirate the bios.

@yggdrizzle AX crowds are seriously attended by some of the worst human beings on earth, and more than one time I’ve been in some that are actually dangerous, not to mention chaotic.

Japan queues are annoying and even sometimes soul crushing but are at least well behaved and safe.
