"Instead of properly funding classrooms in advance of the school year, the provincial government has created another opportunity for one of Doug Ford’s corporate friends to profit," @marthahradowy#onted#onpoli

Hey @PaulCalandra did you ever consider a Canadian supplier for the $750 for #onted? Grand and Toy is Canadian. Imagine captain Canada @fordnation screwing a Canadian distributor over an American company!
NEW: A second internal email reveals the PC party gave its MPPs permission to bill taxpayers for hotel rooms as early as 2022.
MPPs were told to keep it in “the strictest of confidences.”

NEW: A major victory for transparency.
An Ontario court rules Premier Doug Ford must turn over personal phone records pertaining to government business.

CALL @fordnation 416 325 1941 if you believe we should be selling off American booze collecting dust and about to expire in LCBO basements to support local food banks.
$2million is set to expire in the coming months. Let’s do some good and feed hungry families in our province.
The Ontario Legislature sat for 51 days in 2025. The Christmas break Doug Ford just gave himself is 102 days long. That is insane. #ontario#onpoli#dougford#frankdomenic🍁
The moment a forensic audit is triggered, every alarm bell in government is supposed to go off.
That didn’t happen. Ontarians deserve to know why.

NEW REPORT on the decline in young people becoming teachers in Ontario:
"The other possible explanation is that deteriorating working conditions are making the teaching profession less appealing.
Teachers have reported that, since the COVID-19 pandemic, students have displayed less respect for educators... There is evidence of increasing rates of violence... We also hear that larger class sizes and a lack of support for students with special education needs make teaching exceptionally taxing...
Improving working conditions, properly funding schools, and refraining from attacking workers’ rights would go a long way to make teaching a desirable career choice again."

Critics are slamming the premier for the “ridiculously large” speed signs replacing speed cameras: “you would think the one thing he could get right is stickers & signs.”
Doug Ford fired back after I asked if any road safety experts were consulted before they were approved:
Standing in solidarity with renters across the province to STOP BILL 60. Doug Ford is looking out for the wealthy and well-connected instead of everyday people who need an affordable place to live.
Watch #ETFO First Vice-President @ShirleyBell8 explain what the Ford government should be investing in instead of #EQAO, an ineffective tool that should be eliminated.
Ontario education minister delays release of EQAO test results – CTVNews https://t.co/wiMedn5B52
EQAO tests are a waste of funds. It's a flawed tool, and the only things the results are ever used for are politicking and real estate. And didn't Ford appoint one of his own people to oversee the whole thing in a $140k position that he created? #OntEd
So this week in Ontario:
Ford had a $1500 a plate birthday party for himself and placed a Conservative donor in a key education role who doesn't know what an ECE is.
Meanwhile - homeless in record numbers, unemployment highest, deficit outrageous, housing still unaffordable.
Ontario wasted $1.4 billion on early alcohol sales, $2 billion on an Austrian spa and $3.2 billion on election bribes but we don't have enough money to pay for night doctors at one of Toronto's biggest ERs.
This is the Conservative policy approach.

New accusations that the Ford government is appointing conservative donors to top jobs. The NDP is sounding alarms about a new appointee to the college of early childhood educators: a PC donor who, in committee, couldn’t explain the difference between an ECE and a teacher.
Calandra plans to use these EQAO scores to create a useful crisis & continue to dismantle public education. No org is arms length to the government anymore! Ontario Education Minister says he is withholding EQAO test scores, prompting outcry #onpoli#onted https://t.co/bi0DN6Vgte
