Emmanuel Petit on Premier League clubs mocking Arsenal after the final defeat:
🗣️ “I have to say, I found it embarrassing.
The second Arsenal lost, some Premier League clubs couldn't wait to jump on social media and remind everyone about their European trophies.
That tells you everything.
Instead of supporting an English club representing the league on the biggest stage in club football, they were busy celebrating Arsenal's pain.
For me, that's not rivalry. That's insecurity.
Arsenal were 90 minutes away from doing something special, and rather than show respect, people were desperately searching through the history books for old trophies to post online.
Why? Because they were terrified of seeing Arsenal join that club.
Let's be honest, some of these clubs spent the entire season watching Arsenal compete at a level they couldn't reach.
The jealousy was obvious.
The moment Arsenal fell short, they treated it like they had won something themselves.
That's the mentality of people who would rather see Arsenal fail than focus on their own success.
The trophy may have slipped away, but the reaction from some rivals showed exactly how much Arsenal still live rent-free in their heads.”

@chamath@JDVance Do you not think critically for more than two seconds before posting? And to insinuate Powell has some grand scheme against Republicans is not only a juvenile comment but also wrong considering he was a registered Republican until Obama appointed him (as a bipartisan measure).
@chamath@JDVance Inflation isn’t over & the current tariff policy is only going to increase inflation. Powell cut rates in Sept, Nov & Dec (2x post-election) as inflation was cooling & the labor market was softening. It was working well until TACO Trump inevitably acted rashly.
If Arteta isn’t the right man for the job, shouldn’t rival fans be begging for him to stay? They’re obsessed with him because they know it’s just a matter of time and are secretly hoping we get rid of him because it’d set us back. Every proper Arsenal fan knows this.

@hubermanlab@Spotify Or Spotify could offer a premium+ membership with no ads in podcasts. Surely there’s an analysis to be done here, and I suspect the increase in subscription rev would offset (or surpass) lost ad dollars for Spotify / the podcast creator. Would need rev share agreement. @eldsjal
I pay for @Spotify premium to avoid ads, yet every podcast is littered with them. It’s taken almost 8 minutes for the @hubermanlab podcast to actually begin 🧐 but thank goodness I got my daily reminder about AG1 and Eight Sleep!
