A lot of people mistakenly think that Flare is only a network for XRP DeFi.
Yes Flare is the premier chain for XRPFi but this is due primarily to our data capabilities which make FAssets both possible and secure.
Flare is about decentralized data first. This is why we built Oracles and Confidential Compute.
You will shortly see Flare make some advances in its data utility serving the blockchain space far more broadly.
FTSO has operated with zero downtime since launch.
Today BTC, XRP and ETH feeds stay within 0.2% of external reference prices more than 99% of the time, while over 100 independent providers continuously anchor the system through commit-reveal.
Flare’s mission is to be the key infrastructure for critical data as finance moves onchain.
So far you have only seen one major example of this in FXRP.
Soon you will see that the industry trusts Flare for key data where failure isn’t an option.
everyone's talking about tokenisation.
but what is tokenisation and how does it work?
by popular demand, here's everything you need to know about one of the hottest topics in blockchain right now.
in short, tokenisation is the process of converting ownership rights of physical or digital assets into digital tokens on a distributed ledger.
this allows traditionally illiquid assets like real estate to be bought, sold and traded online, often in fractional pieces.
how it works:
1/ an asset is selected to be tokenised
an asset (such as a commercial building) is selected, appraised, and legally structured for digital representation (ie tokenisation).
2/ the asset is represented on the blockchain
developers write the code to tokenise the asset on the blockchain. these smart contracts establish the rules of the token, including ownership rights, dividend distributions, and how the token can be transferred etc.
3/ tokens are minted
digital tokens are generated on the blockchain. these tokens represent specific shares or rights to the underlying asset.
4/ distribution and storage
investors can freely buy and sell the tokens. because the tokens are fractional, people can easily own a small percentage of a high-value asset (like real estate).
5/ trading and settlement
because tokens are traded on the blockchain, all trades are recorded permanently and transparently, without the need for a traditional bank or clearinghouse.
This would actually work:
Stake capital + prove real affiliation/credentials + accept slashing conditions for abuse.
That creates an onchain trust layer where badges are backed by verified claims and real economic accountability.
With FDC, external data from Web2 sources or other chains can be attested on Flare and made usable by smart contracts.
With FCC, the credential proof can go further: users can prove they meet certain conditions privately, without exposing sensitive personal data.
The result is a decentralized, verifiable, and optionally private affiliation system.
Very practical approach to reducing impersonation.
When you see large announcements such as those expanding access to XRPFi on Flare to millions of new users remember, that due to FIP16, FLR token economics scale as economic activity on Flare scales.
Flywheel.
🔥 2 BILLION XRP TO BE UNLOCKED FOR DEFI
Flare integrates with Xaman Wallet to bring 2B $XRP into DeFi.
Cross-chain complexity is reduced to a single transaction on the XRP Ledger, potentially unlocking massive XRP liquidity for lending and yield.
This disincentivises:
Capital formation and investment
Entrepreneurial activity
Long term asset holding
Speculation - leading to price formation which is a key signal in the economy
I can’t imagine how an economy can function like this, let alone thrive. They must actually be insane.
XRPFi scales when the biggest holders can participate securely.
@Hex_Trust and @Flarenetworks enable:
• Institutions to access XRP DeFi via FXRP minting and redeeming
• Participation in network security via native FLR staking
• All within custody and policy controls built for regulated ops
This expands the set of options institutions can execute with XRP and FLR on their balance sheets.
