Most people have an explanation for everything:

A story for every broken promise.

A good sounding excuse for every time they come up short.

A novel length explanation for every time they quit.

..And they believe it.

That's why they lose.

They call it balance.
They call it being realistic.
They call it modesty.
They call it "being humble".

...But in reality it's just weakness wearing a fancy costume.

People who lose are experts at protecting their bullshit patterns.

Winners get good at killing them.

You don't need to "process" it more.
You don't need to journal it more.
You don't need to post about it more.

You need to pick up the hammer and start fucking swinging.

Because the only way out is through the cage you built with your own bullshit justifications.

I will not apologize for loving this country.

If you just listened to America the Beautiful and the National Anthem and didn’t well up with tears or feel emotion and pride then I don’t know what to say to you.

Couple that with watching American athletes compete in the Olympics living out their dreams.

That is the American Spirit.
