Today at the @Bankless Summit, held in partnership with M0, @LucaProsperi, CEO & Co-Founder of M0, shared a network theory of money. Some of his points:
◼️Today’s money networks need 3 things: value extraction, high-fidelity signals, and real resilience.
◼️In a mesh network, nothing can simply be “cut out.” Designing for resilience is essential.
◼️The future of finance isn’t just new products. it’s a redesign of how value is created, distributed, and scaled.
◼️Single points of failure are a real risk - especially when only a few institutions capture all the upside. This deserves more attention.
◼️ We need to look at money networks the way we look at computing networks. Architecture matters.
Thanks to our partner @Bankless for making this all happen in Buenos Aires. Highly recommend watching once the videos drop.
The Ethereum Name Service (ENS) is in the middle of its ENSv2 overhaul.
In other words, the onchain identity protocol is future-proofing by optimizing its architecture and deploying to a dedicated Layer 2 (L2) chain.
Yet there's a lot going on around ENS in general these days.
~~ Analysis by @wmpeaster ~~
For instance:
➢ Thanks to its recent Doma integration, @ensdomains now lets tokenized DNS domains resolve like native ENS names without having to go through DNSSEC importing, which ENS still supports in parallel.
➢ The ENS Labs team has also been continuing its work to integrate ENS deeper into the mainstream DNS system. The stewards here are preparing to apply for a .ens "brand" TLD in the upcoming ICANN generic top-level domain (gTLD) round, slated for April 2026. This move would shore up ENS's brand and security within DNS and pave the way to new features.
➢ Shortly after the Doma news, the ENS Labs team introduced the new ENS App and ENS Explorer products, which will arrive once ENSv2 is officially rolled out. These launches will effectively split the existing ENS frontend into 1) a simple consumer identity manager, and 2) a full-stack dev tool for advanced name control.
➢ As for the ENSv2 evolution itself, the big intrigue this week was ENS's announcement that its upcoming Namechain L2 will be launched via Surge, Nethermind's based rollup framework founded upon Taiko's tech stack. The pivot from Linea to Surge will let Namechain deploy in more credibly-neutral fashion and as a based rollup for Ethereum-native sequencing and low CCIP-Read latency.
➢ Outside of the Labs team, the ENS community is also staying productive. The builders at EthID just unveiled @grailsmarket, a new dedicated marketplace for ENS domain NFTs. The platform offers zero-fee trading, bulk renewals, private watchlists, ENS and EFP profiles support, and more.
Zooming out, ENS already supports +1.6M domains, and the changes coming here are aimed at supporting the next 10x in registrations and beyond. In the meantime, all eyes move to Namechain's public testnet, which is expected in Q2 2026.
If that timing holds, the L2's landing should almost perfectly coincide with the kick off of ICANN's next gTLD expansion round. Next year will be big for ENS accordingly, so keep your eyes peeled on the project!

LIVE NOW - Bryan Johnson: Don’t Die, Beating Entropy, AI Alignment & The Two-Species Future
@bryan_johnson lays out “Don’t Die,” a moral framework that puts existence first and turns longevity into a shared fight against entropy.
We pressure-test the hard stuff: selfishness, inequality, stagnation, and the so-called two-species future.
Bryan argues these are solvable with smart societal engineering if “don’t die” is for everyone.

- 25% Cash
- 25% Productive Real Estate
- 25% Equities
“That’s essentially the model for [Dalio’s] all weather portfolio… and… for most investors pretty wise.”

“10k TPS is a great start but it’s not enough for all of finance.” - @drakefjustin
Lean @Ethereum pushes L1 to gigagas and rollups to teragas.
Think ~1,000 L1s in parallel, aiming for ~100 transactions per person per day.
Last week, Ethereum’s ecosystem (L1 plus rollups) blasted through a new high, briefly hitting 24,000 transactions per second.
From 0.7 TPS in 2015 to regular spikes above 10,000 TPS today on @growthepie_eth, the modular bet is delivering explosive gains after a decade of building.
Welcome to Ethereum’s exponential age.👇
~~ Analysis by @wmpeaster ~~
To be sure, the bulk of this current TPS surge is stemming from Lighter, the newer perps L2 whose custom appchain architecture minimizes what data touches Ethereum.
@Lighter_xyz just posts compressed state diffs and proofs to the L1 while keeping its high-frequency order flow offchain. This zk appchain design is unique in the rollups scene today, but more teams will experiment with this model and extend it in new directions.
Beyond this design evolution, Ethereum's roadmap has plenty of ecosystem-wide advances on the way that will help push performance gains. Foremost to mind is PeerDAS, which the Fusaka upgrade will bring to mainnet next month.
PeerDAS will be a powerful upgrade, as it's projected to facilitate around an 8x increase in Ethereum's blob capacity. With improved data availability, rollups are set to march past 1 million in ecosystem TPS in short order.
For instance, @base hit 1,500 TPS in June 2025 with Ethereum's current blob limits. Blob capacity going up 8x makes 10,000+ TPS feasible for the L2 at some point next year.
This math applies to zk appchains like Lighter, too. If Lighter can handle ~45,000 TPS today, it can potentially pass 350,000 TPS in 2026.
Of course, there will be impactful project-level advances as well. ZKsync's upcoming Atlas upgrade has the potential to facilitate 15,000+ TPS for ZK Stack L2s. And that's just one stack and one upgrade.
So yes, Ethereum is scaling horizontally, and the prospects here are impressive. But Ethereum also has considerable vertical scaling potential. There are ongoing efforts, like EIP-7938 and "Lean Ethereum," that can help the L1 reach 10,000 TPS in its own right.
With this "all of the above" approach, we can dream big. We can build a new substrate for all the world's commerce and culture. And all of that builder potential is possible precisely because Ethereum is going tall and wide in its scaling.
This is the endgame: many chains spreading out to the horizon in every direction for any need, all anchored around an incredibly secure and robust network that's worthy of powering an entire civilization.
The progress here is clear. Meanwhile, the Ethereum community will continue to create its own destiny, just as it always has. We know the path forward, and nothing can stop us now.
