@MCCCANM@liquid_rocket Northwest Airlines flight 188! October 21st, 2009. Flight from San Diego to Minneapolis. Radio contact was lost during the transition from Denver Center to Minneapolis Center. The pilots claimed they were checking schedules on their laptops, but rumor is they fell asleep.
@Aviation_Intel Definitely, and thanks for covering the on-going hype around the SR-71. Its definitely intriguing what they might plan to do with it in addition to Jared Isaacman teasing the whole ordeal.
@halberenson@VLO225 Honestly curious. How might (or even if it could) an Thaon di Revel-class patrol vessel from Italy fit as an American frigate contender?
@EricJHovland@Aviation_Intel Originally they were going to do that, but they discovered the silos were in much worse condition than anticipated. The whole infrastructure including electronics, foundation (concrete, rebar, utilities, etc), everything is ancient and requires replacement.
@lrozen@Faytuks They are actually saying something similar, but also stating Iran was warned not to respond whatsoever or else there would be consequences
