@mmbenidt You do know that we’re talking about FSD here, right? Not how I’m driving?
My entire complaint is that Hurry mode seems to default to hanging out in the passing lane and doesn’t keep up with the pace of traffic.
Hot take: Tesla FSD V12 was better than this version of V14 Lite.
Things I’ve noticed in my first full day with V14 Lite:
- Slows down to dangerous levels before train tracks. Went from 50mph to less than 10 right before the tracks, then sped up again after.
- Jittery feel on the highway. Like someone’s tapping the brakes every few seconds.
- Two phantom braking incidents today when I haven’t had one in months on V12.
- Start Self-Driving button doesn’t work. Just says “Driver not detected.”
- Feels far too slow on the highway, even in hurry mode. Unlike v12 which would stay in the passing lane until a car came up behind you, switch lanes to let that car pass, and then go back to the passing lane, V14 just sits there.
- V14 hesitates in areas where V12 didn’t. Lane changes, stop signs, etc.
I don’t know… I’m sure it’ll get much better, but I wish I could downgrade at the moment.
@mmbenidt So the better alternative is to sit put in the passing lane at 5mph over the speed limit (in hurry mode) with no awareness of the vehicles its holding up behind you? At least with V12, it was aware of vehicles coming up behind you.
@hulakai Yeah, totally get that. However, there are some major, fundamental issues that aren’t related to RL and continuous improvement in this build. I’m confident that Tesla can work out the bugs, but man, some of the things I’m seeing are actual safety concerns.
I gotta stop listening to these “influencers” and their 100% objective early access “reviews.” Got me pumped for this V14 Lite release, and here I am, wishing I could revert to V12 lol.
Oh well, I’m sure it’ll get better.
Remember like 20 years ago how movie theater staff would walk up and down the aisles a few times during each movie, making sure people weren’t being obnoxious assholes? What happened to that?
@jturntdev /goal is still the problem. I burnt through 25% of my 20x yesterday for absolutely no discernible reason. It was on an automation that runs every hour, and for whatever reason, it chewed through my limits on that one particular run. It’s very frustrating.
Ok, it’s definitely related to chat length. Despite the automatic context compacting, the longer the conversation, the more bogged down it gets. Oh well.
Ok, there’s DEFINITELY something up. Codex is even slower today than yesterday. So many tasks just hang there with no progress being made. What would have taken 15 minutes last week takes hours this week. Could be very a long context issue? So weird.

Does everyone really think the government will release groundbreaking, earth-shattering alien or UAP info? Of course they won’t. And even if they did, would most people even believe it?
