@TheSun this is very dangerous as I had no idea this happened and secondly I don’t just give my number out. Luckily the person called me to let me know what had happened. This could have gone a different way and no thought for my security at all. Very poor by @EE

@TheSun you def need to investigate @EE as they recycle numbers from previous closed accounts. This week they have told the person who had the number 3 years ago what the number was. He had a query on his credit file & did not know the number

@EE The person had not remembered the number & you have given the number to them. This is very bad as no thought for the security of the person on this occasion ME . Luckily they were decent to ring me and let me know

@Ofcom do you agree that @EE are correct after recycling an old number where the account is not used they give the number to the previous account holder? Surely this shouldn’t be done my number given to a stranger I don’t know who can pass to anyone. What about my security ??

@EE You should not be giving numbers that have been recycled to any one as a reference . They do not use that number I do now you have given my number to a complete stranger who luckily rang me to tell me what you’d done

@EE Your company have confirmed the number back to the person using it 3 years ago as he was querying something on his credit file. You’ve told him the number was recycled but still given him the number he previously had . He doesn’t have a phone you just confirmed the number

@EE I was contacted today by the person who had the number 3 years ago. They had queried a bill with EE and did not know what it was for. They have them my number as it use to be there number @Ofcom
