@HeraldZimbabwe When the costs and consistence of availing water to the people is worrying, this neglect of responsibility is treacherous. Pass through this point and was in pain.

Here’s how you send a message from the sky to our Members of @ParliamentZim who want to build their houses on @MonavaleWetland - one of Zimbabwe’s only 7 Wetlands of International Importance protected under the @RamsarConv!
And this is happening while Zimbabwe is the President of the Ramsar Convention of Wetlands! 😳
Tomorrow, 5th May 2026, in Switzerland, the delegation from Zimbabwe will be chairing the Standing Committee meeting of the Ramsar Convention to discuss how to protect wetlands globally. Yet back home, our wetlands on public lands are being privatized and allocated to MPs to construct their homes.
Wetlands are for all of us! We depend on them for clean water, green space, flood prevention and so much more. We need to defend them for the sake our children and our children’s children.

@AllanSseky We have very strong connection with the "owners of the land" and we share with them their supplies be it water or food. At times "they take it all" and we dont complain. That's the interconnectedness.
@Savheya_Happie Yah its sad and unfortunate but these are the realities that diasporians are faced with daily. Its tough to be a "broughtee" but then your option will be super limited.
@nickmangwana Will this reduce taxes, the biggest fear is "will local authorities be able to provide the needed quality assurance" and using which resources to do this? Arent we negating quality assurance and regulated development models?
@nickmangwana Removing some taxes to lower/stabilise the prices is a good idea. Increasing ethanol is not a good idea for addition of ethanol failed to cut the prices in the first place.
@OpenParlyZw Over reliance with global markets is the problem. We have oil producing countries within SADC that can be invested in to supply the region instead of taking it to the global market and import it at higher cost. This thing must change and we are immunized.
Fellas:
As much as we like reminding wom£n about the biological clock - at a certain age, a w0man should be married & with kids
We also need to remind each other of our own clocks - the financial & legacy clock
Yes like it or not, life judges us all - both m£n & wom£n
@DrivenChapman@DUZ_Prosperity Unfortunately all those are reactionary remedies, it was prudent to consider proactive remedies that attends to the root causes. Idleness and redundance are part of the root causes, youths must be found to be doing something productive and progressive.
