@calvinfroedge There was a huge culture shift with millennials, it's not just money. The biggest reason people dont want kids is literally because they dont want kids. They also dont value marriage or God while immitating the dating lives of the TV show characters they grew up watching.
@Barchart Biggest selloff #1 covid, followed by a huge recovery. Selloffs #2 tariffs, followed by a huge and fast recovery, selloff #3, followed by...can you guess?
Nice chart. But worth noting heavy trucks are cyclical but also noisy around policy shocks and supply issues. I’d pair this with credit spreads before calling the next recession. And on this side, so far so good... 😉
But not in 2022? So with over 4% GDP growth, 8/10 companies beating earnings, inflation plummeting, unemployment low, wages rising, unemployment claims at historical lows, and so on...how does GDP drop to negative for two consecutive quarters? lol
@zerohedge Go through these numbers, IT, Professional services down because of lower H1B visas and other legal immigration, manufacturing and small businesses down because the border is shutdown and there is zero increase in illegal immigration, self deportations, and ICE raids.
Utah had a Republican congressional seat stolen. California just took 5.
As of now, Democrats take the House.
Does anyone care about real matters or are we going to still bicker over podcast guest selection.
Fact Check: Trump is actually carrying out the largest deportation operation in history.
The claim that he’s “deporting less than Obama” is a lie.
The vast majority of Obama’s deportations were returns, which were people simply turned away at the border.
That is different from removals, which are actual domestic deportations of people already living here.
Trump has far less returns because nobody is showing up to the border. But as of October, he’s at 527,000 removals, which dwarfs any President in history.
This even includes Eisenhower with Operation Wetback, which primarily focused on returns.
We absolutely need more, and I’m hoping Big Beautiful Bill can get the annual numbers in the millions. But again, stop listening to these doomers who pretend like nothing is happening.
Mass deportations are happening — in spite of the pushback in the courts and constant terrorist attempts by Democrat voters.
And we have a ton of people left behind after going to terrible government schools that taught them nothing useful and a culture that idolizes celebrities. We need a nationwide retraining of those left behind.
SpaceX used less than 20 H-1B workers between 2011 and 2024. Less than 20. They hire almost 100% American, because defense contractors are heavily restricted from employing visa-holders. And it works.
We have the people. We have the talent. But companies want cheaper labour.
@StockSavvyShay@mweinbach Why 2030? That's arbitrary, AI's benefits will come to fruition over the coming decades, the way the internet, phones, and social media has over the past 30 years.
🚨 JUST IN: The Trump administration is now looking into normalizing PORTABLE MORTGAGES - allowing Americans to keep their interest rate, term and lender when moving to a different home.
FHFA Director Bill Pulte: "We are actively evaluating portable mortgages."
This also allows you to avoid paying early repayment charges on the current loan. Thousands saved.
Basic rundown: "Instead of taking out a completely new mortgage, you use the money raised from the sale of your property to pay off your existing mortgage and take out a new mortgage on the same terms with your existing provider to cover the cost of buying your new home."
