I'm a 👩🏼💻 digital producer/strategist, @SFFDNERT volunteer & earthquake preparedness enthusiast. I enjoy using my tech skills to give back to my community.
Today’s 3.8 #earthquake out of Concord is a good reminder to get #sfready for any #quakes that strike day or night. Getting prepared can be as simple as packing a backpack or “go bag” with some essential needs for you and your family. #sffdnert
Hey @SFFDNERT volunteers —send us your photos and videos of NERT classes and drills from the past 30 years. We’re also calling for a short video clip in your vest simply saying, “Happy 30th Anniversary NERT!” or “Cheers to 30 years, NERT!” Email them to us at [email protected].
Wonderful news. Delivery complete on the new training van for NERT thanks to a donation from Johnson & Johnson. And just in time with the old one defunct. Will be outfitted and stocked before going in service #CERT#SFReady#CaliforniaForAll
UPDATE: Firefighters from New Jersey Forest Fire Service @sectionb10 landed safely. 3 engines...10 firefighters...100% grateful! Shout out to @fema and @SFFDPIO for making this happen!
The sky today in SF is unlike anything we’ve seen. We’ll keep you updated throughout the day on the quality of the air and the impact of smoke from the wildfires. Stay informed by visiting https://t.co/5tjk9S8SDl and sign up for AlertSF by texting your zip code to 888-777.
This is what a typical September day in #SanFrancisco is supposed to look like vs. what it is today. In my entire life in the Bay Area it has never been this dark before in the middle of the day, even in the darkest storms. This is not ok.
